Early days but he's surprised me so far, didn't think he had 20+ goals in him but so far so good. Hope he can form a positive Shearer/Bellamy-esque dynamic with Mitro when he eventually comes back

It's not a huge surprise to me, if anything I was more surprised when I heard that he's never been prolific. But in the few games I saw him play for Palace, he just looked a natural finisher so I put his poor return down to Pardew pissing him about.

Played a fair bit on the wing in the Cisse role for the King.

He's a finisher, needed a goal to get him going but he's up and running now. If we continue to provide him chances then he'll get at least 25 barring injury. Once Mitrovic is available again I'd expect him to drop into the 3 behind him and have a bit more time and space, look for knock-downs and flick-ons and we'll look better as a team imo.

If we go back up, he is a player who could still be a huge asset in the Premiership for us. He has been Palace's top scorer in the last few seasons (from what I believe anyway), and it seems he has been lumped up top on his own when Palace were desperate since they got promoted. At worst, he could be a good option from the bench in the Premiership when needing a goal (and not thrown up top on his own). Maybe he could even score goals in that league alongside Mitrovic.

Pleased we've got him.  His goal today was class, as soon as Diame gets it he's on his bike and in between defenders.  Takes the finish early, proper striker.  Keep him fit we get goals, simple

Hoping him and Gayle form the kind of partnership we all hoped Mitro and Perez would form.

If we sign a decent left sided AM/winger, Perez is gonna struggle to get into our best team, which is mental when you consider there has apparently been interest from some big clubs for double figure fee's.

Honestly think if Mitro and Gayle can form a Shearer and Bellamy esque kind of understanding together and we get Knockart (unlikely) or someone of similar quality on the left we could fly to the top of the league.

Ritchie bashing down the right also, think we would potentially need a high quality CM though to really complete it.

Should be good for at least 25 goals this season. I didn't know he was a free kick specialist so that's a bonus.

"at least" [emoji38]

Howay man

Not looking so daft now eh mojo? [emoji38]

Well I laughed only at the"at least" bit as I said, so if he batters in 30 goals I'll doff my cap to you.

4 goals from 6 shots on target according to the BBC. One of those shots will have been the saved penalty too. Clinical

Could also point out that only 6 shots on target in 4 games isn't great, 1 was a missed penalty and 2 of his goals were more or less open goals from around 4 yards out. He's had little real service, his free kick was great, his missed header against Huddersfield was poor. He took his goal yday really well.

He clearly needs better support hopefully we'll see Mitro up top with him. He's done ok, I've been a little disappointed in his movement at times. He hasn't worked the channels very well.

Having said all that I'm far more worried about what's going on with Perez. He needs to toughen up or he can write this season off. I thought he'd tear this league up.

He's scored 4 goals like, but if we judge him the same way that people judge Mitro...

1 was a penalty (rebound) and another was a tap-in and we know from Mitro's stats that people don't count them.

So he's only scored 2.

He's crap - get rid.

Penalties shouldn't be counted in discussing how good a player is IMO but tap ins are really important for strikers, shows they have good movement if they consistently score tap ins
