Waiting for this one to go through before bringing a replacement in?

Just waiting to get numbers down in general I reckon and that’s around four now we’ve moved on this window?

That’s decent and moving on these type of players every window is important

Bit harsh to apply that to the players, even if you don't mean any disrespect. Gayle et al would have done a job in the Championship when we were inevitably relegated again.  They might not be PL players, but we can hardly claim we were a PL club.

Basically, it's nice to be able to claim we ARE a PL club now.

Haha I was confused for a min but realised you meant we’d be a championship club if Ashley was still here. That’s a fair point

Hopefully he hasn't wasted his last good years on the bench with us when he could've spent them being a Champo hero.

Wish him all the best and will definitely look out for if he gets himself back on the goal trail.

Think he’ll be shite. Too much loafing for too long.

Would love to see him banging in 20 goals a season in again, but I think he has wasted his last good years enjoying his wages on Tyneside tbh. He should stil be good for a dozen or so goals though.

Should have left after his season at WBA. We've gained nowt by keeping him, sure we could have got £8m or so back then.

2 year deal is same as he's on here - so no benefit of a longer deal. Pretty much guarantees we're subsidising a decent chunk of his wages I reckon.

dont think you're allowed to sell a player and then pay part of his wages whilst he's at another club if its not a loan deal.

No one ever wants to take him and if they do it’s a loan with you paying like 80% of his wage
