Isaac Hayden (now playing for QPR)

Recommended Posts

I was a big fan when he arrived as it felt like the kind of signing the club needed in the wake of having so many wasters. I think for the fee we paid it has to be seen as fairly good business.

He wasn't flash, but he played an important role in getting us back up and then keeping us in the division. He had to navigate some really tough things in his personal life while here, and yet I never got the sense he gave less than his all when on the pitch. His goal against Chelsea was massive for us and I hope wherever he lands next he finds success.

I'm sure he could've gone if he hadn't wanted to cash his full years of PL wages.

I'd love to wish him well but it felt like he was just collecting his wages for doing nowt for the last few years. Glad to be shot of him finally, and I rated him when we were shit, so nothing personal.

£100 k off The wage bill. Good

luck Isaac helped us back from the champo and seemed an all round good

lad

We've probably paid off the rest of his wages in advance.  I don't think he'd just terminate his contract for nothing.

One of our current players could learn a bit from Hayden onto how to handle himself with dignity on contract issues.

Good luck Isaac!

He's sat on a massive £40-50k a week contract for the last 3 years tbf.

I feel like I say this every time he does something but Hayden would be a great pundit. He's got a great tone, everything he says feels thought through and intentional and he's not prone to outlandish statements for effect.

Always comes acros as a proper top bloke imho.

He did radio punditry for the cup final I believe.

Good podcast. When he talks about Eddie needing a player to be willing to learn then seeing how Wissa goes through the motions. Can imagine Eddie wants him punted asap

Conversely you can see why he was so keen on Elanga. Personality and professionalism wise, he’s perfect.

Unfortunately, despite (presumably) doing all the right things and putting the effort in, his output remains largely shite. But I do hold out hope that with increased training time next season things will improve.

Agree with the opinion that Hayden seems a nailed on pundit of some description going forward.
