fuckin hell, we could only be 2 points ahead by the next time we play?

Yep. Huddersfield play their game in hand the day after too.

Is that presuming we either lose or draw with Preston (as it stands with Huddersfield beating Derby)?

No, they're 5 points behind if they win today and they play before us again next weekend. Win that and they'll be 2 behind us with a game in hand at kick off on Monday.

They won't have a game in hand at kick off.

Yeah true actually.

Fuck me, just saw Huddersfield remaining games, they are all winnable

So are ours. Two home games and an away game against a mid table team. I know we lost to one today but still, on paper it's as good a run in as Huddersfield's.

Yeah, we have a generous run in- no excuses.

What sees us go up, can a win and a draw do it?

If Huddersfield win all their games they'll be 2 points behind us. 2 wins and a draw from our remaining games would see us go up on goal difference if Huddersfield keep winning.

Huddersfield lose both games before our next game, and we beat Preston, and we're up bar goal difference, I think.

Reading away to Forest next week who are fighting for their lives (only 1pt above the drop). Still points to be dropped for all parties.

Really need Derby to even snatch a draw tonight. 7pt gap would be so much easier.

Everyone is rightly shitting themselves at the moment, but it's vital that everyone, especially those in the ground next Monday, just takes a few deep breaths and tries not to panic.

Next Monday is a night for a massive and positive atmosphere.  It's still completely in our hands so we all just need to stick together and get the job done.

Win the 2 home games and we'll be right.

Huddersfield fans chanting "Newcastle United we're coming for you". Cunts.

Nothing wrong with that.

Truth hurts. They're a team with nothing to lose and everything to gain and we keep giving them every incentive they need to do it.

Newcastle's home fans and shitting themselves do not go well together like. [emoji38] As soon as the atmosphere goes down that path it nearly always becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.
