I doubt it's even been given any consideration. Given this referees 'performance' last time he was in charge of a Newcastle fixture I'm surprised the club haven't made their concerns known to the Football League, something other clubs have done in the past. Anyone who witnessed what happened that day knows too well it wasn't incompetence but he clearly had an agenda against Newcastle. We were drinking in a pub full of Baggies afterwards and even they were embarrassed about how the referee had won them that game. It was totally bizarre, surreal in fact, people in the away end were either going absolutely ballistic or just laughing in sheer disbelief! It was just something I've never experienced before in my Newcastle supporting lifetime. Plenty of incompetent referees but never anything like that. Not ideal but we're going to have to play this very carefully and give him no excuses to give anything major against us.
