It was a really odd decision to sack him given where they were like, and considering the last season was stopped due to covid with no promotions it wasn't really his fault they weren't already up. Consett have a playoff against Histon (who were in the Conference not that long ago) to see if they’ll go up from the Northern League also at the weekend. Really good to see proper NE participation from the region at all levels now. The old Northern League chairman long argued for a Tweed-Humber division (under his control of course), we more or less now have that as the NPL 1E.
