Did Brighton get presented with the 2nd place trophy thing ? Are there any pictures of that ? Guess it would be a strange situation, but really it's a huge achievement for them , they'll be gutted right now but in a week or so it'll be forgotten and they can look forward to their first ever PL campaign.

Well done to Rafa, his staff and the players. Winning a trophy even if it's the Campionship is a worthy achievement and hopefully it will be the start of a very long and successful era under Rafa.

I asked the same thing, s hadn't seen anything. Had a quick look on Getty Sport Images, and there are photos of them looking gutted at the end of the match, but no presentation. Maybe its an optional thing, and you dont have to have one for runner up?

Did see a photo on Twitter supposedly of their 'Champions' pitch podium dismantled and being put back on the lorry.  :iamatwat:

Feel for Brighton. Hated them under Poyet, but nothing but respect for Hughton and the way the majority of the club has handled this season. I think losing out previously had humbled them and possibly a good reason as to why they took their foot off the gas. Job done. The other reason is Brighton were at 110% all season, whereas we barely got to 80%, for whatever reasons.

During the course they  ran out of steam a few times ( brought back to life with good management) most tellingly at the very end. No shame, they battled harder, smarter whilst deserving it more yet as expected came up short due to quality.

You could go further and bring luck etc.. in to it but we've both had our good and bad.

Glad both teams are up. Hopefully both stay up next season.
