PauloGeordio Posted yesterday at 14:29 Share Posted yesterday at 14:29 (edited) Eddie Howe on Jacob Murphy: “Jacob is very selfless, he always plays for the team, really takes a buzz out of creating a goal, he has always been that way. Those qualities every team needs.” 🖤🤍 Edited yesterday at 14:29 by PauloGeordio
80
It's not really an Almiron phase as he's been doing this for ages. It's genuinely part of his game. He's been producing bonkers statistics over periods of time for the past three seasons now. I forget the exact fact, but the past two seasons have both had something like 15 game runs where if he started we won (or at least didn't lose). toon25
He's bang in form and long may it continue. Mightn't be the most naturally gifted if footballers we've had, but fuck me he grafts his bollocks off and gives a shit. Absolutely delighted for him at the moment tbh. rebelrouser
Love he is having a temporary run. He deserves it. It won't last, and we still need a RW. Murphy can stay when we get a new one.

It isn’t so much a one-off purple patch so much as a rich vein of form. He’s a solid PL player playing with now in-form top rank players and he’s looking all the better for it. His form and the team’s form are linked insomuch as he’s been a part of that but he’s not the driving force behind it. The lad needs some slack cut. He’s one of us, and I bastard love it when one of us gets to live our childhood fantasies and smash one in when wearing the B&W. Him and his twin brother were boyhood Newcastle fans (Jacob's on the right). "Murphy's mother, Maxine, is from Birtley while his father, John, hails from Ashington. A number of the 25-year-old relatives still live in Gateshead and they are all huge Newcastle supporters!" (older story as he's 29 now).
