Guest
I heard they just pulled his arm clean off. No issues.

I guess it's always a case by case basis, but if there is any doubt whether he should or shouldn't do it now, I would hope we opt for the better safe than sorry scenario despite struggling with squad depth atm. Big Geordie
Apparently, Murph's shoulder popped out when he ran for that ball. Feel gutted for the lad - but he's gonna need an op, clearly.
Newcastle Fan
Didn't see the line ups and subs so i was really surprised when i saw him come on, less so when he was injured but fair play for giving it a shot.

Wolfcastle
Admire his balls, or perhaps later, for playing in the circumstances. Testament to the character of the individual and group as am sure he'll have put himself forward rather than being forced out there.
andycap
He was running full pelt then pulled up thought it was a hammie at first. Didn't know a shoulder could just pop out off sprinting.

If the injury was there still it's very bad on him and the medical staff for allowing him to play, this is a very professional game.
Kanji
I love this guy. He’s amazing. Get the op soon mate and come back for the run in.

I dislocated my shoulder in April and it took 3 months for me to be able to exercise and even 7 months later it’s not 100%. Couldn’t believe what I was seeing when he came on tonight. Weezertron
The whole forum said it’d pop again if he played too soon. What were the the medical team thinking?
alexf
Yeah I, with my very basic knowledge, was convinced it would just pop again returning so soon and low and behold it did. He is gonna be a big miss in terms of squad depth. The fact we had to turn to Ritchie as the next option says alot. Was so worried it was going to cost us the win before Joelinton got switched over. Kid Icarus
Dunno how it works at Newcastle but if the All or Nothing documentaries are anything to go by, they'll have been warned of the risks and the Howe and Murphy will have made the decision

My uninformed guess is Jacob wanted to play and the medical team indicated it *might* be ok. Bad decision in hindsight but that shite is always 20/20.
