Not watching today but he's way below what's required at Premier League Level. It's one thing looking good against League 2 plodders in the 2nd Round of the League Cup or out on loan in the Championship but he's not cut out for it at this level.

He needs to start, he hit the bar and set the goal up and nearly got another assist.

Would have the hitting the bar as poor mind, should be hitting the target from 8 yards out, at worst

Better than most of the team although that's not saying much.

Should have scored, but did well to make the space and get the shot in with a decent hit.

Should score. But his run, bit of pace and composure, cut back and actually getting a shot somewhere near the goal. Is a big improvement on anything we’ve seen the last two games

I was thinking he might start. Not great by any means. But Fraser has been a big letdown and this formation doesn’t work with that front 3.

Made a point. Was probably the best player of either team and was only on for 10 minutes or so.

I guess you could say 20 minutes of attacking threat is better than 70 minutes of him being poor then Joelinton coming on.

I kind of mean this tongue-in-cheek, but St. Maximin and Murphy on the wing (going off nowt but his pace and trickery) will give full-backs a proper nightmare. Murphy has looked like a proper handful in a lot of the games he's played this season. Such a shame he hit the bar as the skill to drop 2 defenders and get into that position was excellent.

Murphy is another one of those players who fail to rise to the occasion. Think the heat of the relegation battle will be too much for him to be starting. Would probably be better off starting Ritchie, but he called fatso a coward so will be overlooked.

I can see why he should start ahead of Joelinton, but he's an absolutely bang average Championship player, funnily enough which is what our club is being turned into.

He'll show flashes but start him in a relegation 6 pointer, rather than coming on when you're chasing a game and pushing the opposition back, he'll look very different.

Deserves a start ? Probably.

Play Murphy and Fraser on the wings. Gayle or Carroll as the Striker. Replace the worse performer with Maxi on the wing and drop Wilson in as striker. Play Almiron as the 10 or Willock there until Almiron is fit. Play Hayden and Willock as the CMs and when Willock is playing as a 10, play a Longstaff.

I’d also be perfectly ok with Ritchie playing a wing as he’s the type of character you need right now to take the challenge head on.

Didn't watch him but he scored 9 in 39 in the Championship last year as a winger, so probably better than bang average imo. No doubt he has the ability but as was mentioned before he often fails to rise to the occasion. He did look bright that last two times he came on, so would definitely start him.

Also don't mind Ritchie getting some time on the wing. As well as being a leader and fighter, he's definitely got decent enough technique out wide and unlike Joelinton can strike a football properly. Surprised he hasn't played more tbh.

Think the elephant in the room there is called Steve.
