The Bonk
What Howe has done for this lads game and for Murphy to rise to the level he has, is just one of many feel good stories this team writes for itself. I was watching the "Midfield Maestro" video the club did with Sandro and the way he talks about Murphy specifically is really special.

Rich
Paparazzi’s never going to get off the ground, so I cordially invite more than three people to join in with my attempt at “two Jacob Murphys” against Everton when he produces yet another goal or assist.

alexf Posted Sunday at 18:14 Share Posted Sunday at 18:14 That was the old Murphy today. Mentally fragile, dilly dallying on the ball too long and poor decision making. Error didn't cost us in the end but it should have done, but for external help. Still though, best season in a Newcastle shirt and a huge part of the success of this year and will go down in history as part of the cup winning team. gbandit Posted Sunday at 18:17 Share Posted Sunday at 18:17 A particularly poor game, Schar was absolutely laying into him on at least one occasion. Then he lost the ball for their goal. Probably among his worst three games for us. Gutted for him but at least it didn’t cost us (only £3m in league placings)

JigsawGoesToPieces Posted Monday at 12:11 Share Posted Monday at 12:11 14 hours ago, Rod said: Murphy back to being a rabbit in headlights. This is Murphy 90% of the time tbf. He seems to have a purple streak which lasts 4/5 games then returns to normal. We all know RW is our weakest position and Murphy should be a sub/backup next year
Tsunami Posted Monday at 12:44 Share Posted Monday at 12:44 He’s had a largely cracking season. From Howe downwards we were all over the place yesterday. We knew how Everton would set up and can only assume thought they’d be on the beach. TBF, I certainly thought that, it was soon apparent that they weren’t. Miercoles Posted Monday at 13:14 Share Posted Monday at 13:14 Terrible game yesterday, but he's carried us for a few months this season so I'm willing to forgive. Plus he's such a great character, really happy for him to be living out his dream for a while here.
