Jacob "The Juice" Murphy

Recommended Posts

What Howe has done for this lads game and for Murphy to rise to the level he has, is just one of many feel good stories this team writes for itself. I was watching the "Midfield Maestro" video the club did with Sandro and the way he talks about Murphy specifically is really special.

Paparazzi’s never going to get off the ground, so I cordially invite more than three people to join in with my attempt at “two Jacob Murphys” against Everton when he produces yet another goal or assist.

Aye, happened in the summer, as I recall.

That was the old Murphy today. Mentally fragile, dilly dallying on the ball too long and poor decision making.

Error didn't cost us in the end but it should have done, but for external help.

Still though, best season in a Newcastle shirt and a huge part of the success of this year and will go down in history as part of the cup winning team.

A particularly poor game, Schar was absolutely laying into him on at least one occasion. Then he lost the ball for their goal. Probably among his worst three games for us. Gutted for him but at least it didn’t cost us (only £3m in league placings)

Murphy back to being a rabbit in headlights.

He’s had a largely cracking season. From Howe downwards we were all over the place yesterday. We knew how Everton would set up and can only assume thought they’d be on the beach. TBF, I certainly thought that, it was soon apparent that they weren’t.
