Jacob "The Juice" Murphy

Recommended Posts

Less wil be made of Murphy than others, but he has been fantastic recently. Like others he probably could have had 3 or 4 more goals in recent games but nonetheless has a great record of goals and assists. Seems like he just loves life and treasures playing for us too. Great to see.

But really, he's fast and can shoot well. No reason why this can't be his level.

There is, unfortunately

75% top class international, 25% novelty condom.

But you have to love him. Not someone I'm in any hurry to see leave.

It does seem he's a bit of confidence player. He looked like he couldn't execute even the basics a few games ago, but got himself a goal and now he's looking as equal a cog as any other player in the team, and moreso one of the more in-form players.

I don't think I'll ever be truly satisfied seeing his name on the team sheet, but it's simply wrong to deny he's productive at the highest level.

Did not know he had that in him

He was actually touted for big things in his youth - him and Josh won the FA Youth cup I think - classic case of working with managers that didn’t develop him - Eddie is excellent in this regard

I think he'd have been a really consistently good PL player if Howe had been coaching him since he signed at 22. The limitation in his game are all in the mental side. He has good technique and physical attributes.
