Jacob "The Juice" Murphy

Recommended Posts

I remember him in a pre-season match in 23-24 where he looked below the level of the low-level team we were up against. Look at him now, assisting the winner in a cup final, preying upon teams' underestimation of him, and generally absolutely smashing it. What a story, brilliant. Couldn't be happier for him.

Can’t be a coincidence that he shares the same number and even the same crossing style as our greatest ever right wing assist king Chris Holland? Is there something going on the club aren’t telling us?

Actually putting the new RW talk to bed at the minute, fair play to him

It's absolutely crazy really, but the results can't be argued with!

Still gives me several heart attacks when we're building up play through defence and midfield, but in the final third he is just so dangerous now.

Huge credit to him for realising he just needs to keep it simple in that area of the pitch and whip the ball in once he has a bit of space to do so.

Did not think the revolution for the return of the traditional winger would be headed up by Jacob Murphy! ;D

If he continues like this...England? Seems mad to even type it.

Tuchel is probably questioning himself as to whether he is having some kind of random Newcastle bias, or if all these players are really just this good all of a sudden.

Honestly don't even think our RW signing can replace his G/A from this season, he's so decisive and productive

Just got to hope with whoever we do get, the G/A improve from the rest of our team alongside in an improvement in our general play

Beyond the number of assists, look at the chances created vs the assists converted, i.e. converted chances created. His record is phenomenal, better than anyone in that list.

He is creating GREAT chances when he gets the opportunity, it's not a numbers game for him.

I think it's guaranteed that any new signing doesn't better Murphy's stats from this season, there's very little chance they could.

Doesn't mean we don't need someone in, but you're right the improvement would have to come in overall play.

Jacob coming across so, so well as always. Dedicates his crossing quality to Matt Ritchie

...and folk questionning the likes of Lascelless, Ritchie, etc...

It's a squad. The most likeable squad in my lifetime. Everyone plays their part. If you don't you've been shipped by now.
