Can anyone remember what match ball we used in the mid 80s? Some really obscure brand that nobody had heard of and no other club used. But they were really prized and one kid I knew had one.

Minerva Supreme?

Nah that's not it, the one I remember had a roughly circular logo.

Found my collection of Corinthian figures the other week, made a display for Keegan's 95/96 squad.

Then I realised you could get a Keegan, so I ordered one off eBay. No idea how he passed me by as a child.

He's with Rafa now

Totally forgot about Kitson being in there for no real reason.

Mitre Delta was used from 1986 on but doesn't sound like you are referring to that.

Been meaning to post this for a while as it's the worst piece of football tat I own. I think it came from a Prague market, NUFC Russian doll from around the 2005/6 season. Shearer is obviously the big one, but it's Steve Carr inside him...

Can't find an image but my first pair of brand new football boots with screw-in studs (black and white boot with dark orange studs, probably Winfield looked like Adidas) from Woolworths in Felling. I loved those boots so much. I can still re-experience the smell of them new. Had previously had hand me down moulded soles from cousins. Felt like Paolo Rossi. Unfortunately still played like me!

Won't be this actually. This was the first official ball and then they went to not having one for a while before the Mitre Delta.

Good shows this was certainly used at some point.

I know people often say it's the Adidas Tango, but I still think the best ball was

I've just spent twenty minutes on Google images but I can't find a picture of the one I mean.

Best ball ever, tango azteca.

- Having absolutely nee clue about foreign imports from non-major clubs / World Cups

- Having absolutely nee clue about European opponents bar where they are from

- Mercurial players like Kinkladze, Sasa Curcic, Asanovic appearing and disappearing in double quick time.

- Big man, little man front twos.

- Absolutely minging kits from Ribero, Avec, Pony and the likes.

- Shit but unique grounds (not stadiums)

- Scottish football being worth a watch
