Sorry to say, but he has a point like and I've said basically the same in the pre match thread. Rafa will come under pressure for this team selection, no doubt.

It's double standards otherwise, can't criticise one manager for doing it and not another.  Rafa probably thought they were good enough to get through.

The media didn't say fuck all when Pardew did this with a stronger squad.

Rafa specifically stated he would play fringe players to put them in the shop window. I don't see how he can be under pressure from trying to advertise that our shit still has a pulse, UB.

Incredibly narrow minded to not see the bigger picture here like.

What bigger picture?  It's 2 weeks into the season, no need to make 10 changes to a team.

If Rafa had been backed according to the promises laid out by that fat c*** of an owner, we'd have been able to field a stronger squad this evening.

I'm aware of all of that, but it's ultimately still his decision to field an almost completely different XI. I mean, it's not like some of our so called first team players couldn't do with the match fitness or a confidence boost. We fielded a weakened side and it's speculative to what extend it's contributed to where we are at this moment, but I'd argue it hasn't helped.

Literally every other manager has made that amount of changes, the average for this entire round is 7 changes per club.

Well, if that was his decision I don't think it was the right one. If it wasn't it's even worse in terms of what it means going forward.

Rafa has made a pigs fucking ear of the first 3 games, regardless of how much he's been pissed on from a height this summer.

How did he make a pigs ear of the game against Spurs exactly?

Rafa, like 90% (give or take a few) of the managers around, does not give a flying fuck about this shit competition.

There is when our best eleven are barely good enough to feature in the Premier League as it is.

Also bigger picture?  Getting some confidence back into the team and club, I'd say that's huge the way things are at the moment.

They're not like for like which is exactly why they're not double standards in the slightest. These players are nowhere near as good as say the 12-13 squad. Also, if Pardew had won the trophies that Rafa has, or if Rafa hadn't won them then you'd find people having the same reaction as they would have with Pardew, but as that's not the case it's not a point that holds any weight. Same outcome, definitely. Same reaction, definitely not.

I don't really criticise managers for weakened teams, but I do hate it. Just seems an accepted norm that everyone except the fans agrees with, so it's hard to criticise any one manager.

No surprise to lose any game when you send the message that it doesn't matter.

Definitely double standards like. It's the type of nonsensical fewm I used to defend the Dickhead against.

Mbemba ffs.
