Wolves is an open market place though. West Ham will lock him in a 4-5 year deal and ask for crazy money if he's a success. Ā Wolves will let him go for a decent price if he's a success. They seem to have an agreement to do this.

Over the short term. It hasn't worked forĀ few of them and West Ham is a better show place. I'm sure they'd find an agreement or maybe there's a fix with Portuguese players and Wolves that maybe isn't to the players benefit ?
Dr Jinx
Why would any player choose Man Utd over any of the other clubs that populate 14th-7th right at this moment in time? Ā Managers and players alike are seeing their careers absolutely ruined by going there. Ā At least a season or two doing well for Wolves will lead to a move to Liverpool or City, thereās a career progression there. And some of the other clubs showing ambition donāt have that toxic vibe coursing through it.

KDT
Wolves are basically used as a showcase for Portuguese talent to have exposure in the Premier League and then be sold on. There's agreements in place that they won't stand in the players way if they want to leave after impressing for a season or two and a fair offer is received. It currently seems to be good way of guaranteeing league survival without ever quite being able to get real success.

McCormick
Genuine question, how many Portuguese stars have they sold on so far? Jotaās one.

Fair to say that level of player does more than ensure their survival.

I donāt think itās quite like getting them in to showcase their talent to sell on. Maybe, just maybe, a lot of the talented Portuguese players donāt have such a high ceiling and itās a case of Wolves offering them the kind of money they couldnāt get back home or elsewhere.Ā

KDT
I think Fabio Silva is one that possibly had hopes of getting a move, he still might given how young he is if he does well at Anderlecht and then performs over here. Neto would've been another I think and again he still could be if he stays injury free. Some of the other Portuguese players they've signed have been reclamation projects like Semedo. The Prophet
I could be totally wrong, but it feels like West Ham are gambling for top six. It could end up going a bit Leicester. Ā That's not a dig at them either. Fair play for being ambitious, it's an absolute farce that sides looking to bridge the gap end up having to sell if they don't make it at the first time of asking. toon25
They looked like a very beatable side on Sunday. They massively lack mobility in CM
KDT
West Ham had the chances to win pretty comfortably on Sunday. I didn't think the loss was due to them playing badly more down to bad luck than a poor performance or Forest actually playing that well.
