Other clubs' transfers

In actuality the MacAllister deal was so good due to that clause that if you actually look at the total spent for both Caicedo and MacAllister together it is probably around the right value for the pair.

Kane wasn't given permission to fly to Munich apparently.

So they've accepted a bid, but won't let him go?

There's some fucked up clubs around the league at the moment. I'm thinking top 4 could be a possibility again.

I worry about Brighton like. Can see about 10 years of Southampton being concised into 3 years there if they have one dodgy summer. They can't keep losing players like that and finding gems  who just slot in every year.

Really impressed with Bournemouth this summer btw. They'll get a few hidings I reckon along the way with the young players they're signing, but I think they'll be fun to watch with no danger of relegation.

Jurgen Klopp, who said this after Manchester United brought Pogba back for silly money:

“The day that spending £100m is football, I'm not in a job anymore, because the game is about playing together. That is how everybody in football understands it. You always want to have the best, but building the group is necessary to be successful. If you bring one player in for £100m and he gets injured, then it all goes through the chimney. Other clubs can go out and spend more money and collect top players. I want to do it differently. I would even do it differently if I could spend that money.”

RAWK: you're not factoring in inflation

With the money they are raking in they will start signing better first team players like João Pedro and Kudus if they can convince him, and the young gems will keep coming in at the youth levels.

Don't think Brighton are going anywhere. Southampton's operation was nowhere near this slick.

Agreed. Southampton didn’t have data driven identikit replacements already on loan at Belgian feeder clubs. Bloom and Brighton are far smarter cookies.

Only problem is Brighton is hardly a footballing hotbed and you can’t see them having an enormous fan-driven model like NUFC, Leeds, other more traditionally big clubs.

Sheff Utd have made £5 million profit so far in the transfer window, I don't know who their manager is or any of their players but if they stay up this season they all need medals.

As it stands they look like cannon fodder

Spurs in for Brennan Johnson, wonder how Maddison is feeling now, he said a big reason for him signing for spurs was to play with Kane.

Couldn’t care less, we knew he was a mug for signing for them.

Spurs are the big club’s equivalent of Southampton just happy to coast along and get top 4. Finding it hilarious they’ve binned off all the leaders at the club and are scratching as to why they are having a bad time

£80m? [emoji38]

Aye I reckon that's fair for their age and how much football they've played in England.

Like I said, another good season and their value will sky rocket. Isak needs to play more this season and keep the levels as high to justify being worth more than £80m in my humble, unbiased opinion. I think suggesting he was worth £80m is generous enough. It's a monster valuation.

They are both definitely worth more than Paqueta who’s going for over 90 million
