A McTominay sale means Ugarte is certain. It's pretty important for us if this goes through.

Is a certain or you mean you need someone like him? Is there a better source than that Naples news for McT btw?

Watching Fulham against Man Utd, McTominay won’t help Fulham with the ball at all which I feel they need more. Another player great on counter, but feels they need someone else in there. Cairney offered what Fulham needed, but he’s getting on and just not at the required level for Premier League.

We only have one defensive midfielder and it's Casemiro who's legs can't handle 60 games a season. We badly need depth there. We can't afford Ugarte as it stands and were reliant on this sale, otherwise Berge was the other option.

Personal terms are agreed with Ugarte. As soon as the McTominay deal goes through I'd expect Ugarte to be confirmed a few days later.

Funny GIF

The ironic point is he may be right. PSG wants to get rid of Ugarte just one season, and their midfield last year was one of the worst among the top clubs. It has to be at least a yellow alert for you, if not red.

PSG wants to cash in on Ugarte because he's limited going forward. We don't care about that. We need a midfield destroyer.

We have Kobbie Mainoo and one of the most creative players in the world in Bruno Fernandes. We just need someone to offer enough protection to the back four and recycle the ball to one of those two. Ugarte fits the bill of what we need.

McTominay isn't on the level of these guys. McTominay plus £15-20m to get Ugarte in would be hugely beneficial to us.

Yes, 20% on the profit. After all the addons were activated Solanke's final cost was about £24m so Liverpool will get about £8m.

As part of the original compensation award when he went to Liverpool it’s said Chelsea will get 20% of the 20%

Looked at their squad to see if we could have got some of their players on the cheap but there's only Joao Gomes

They could really struggle this season

Was he any good when he was there on loan even?

Not really no, not that I saw anyway. Floppy hair, dived a lot, scored maybe a couple of goals. I have no idea why they keep signing players, especially attacking midfielders, they already have 43. Must be readying quite a few to go out.

No question he’s a great player.

Although you have laugh at the ridiculousness of Chelsea. I’d say as a minimum they really need to shift about 8 players before the end of the window.

I've got a vague recollection that when he was there before he said pretty early that he didn't want to stay, but then they had weeks/months of Potter almost looking like he was trying to build the team around him before he got the tin tack. Was bizarre, but standard Chelsea these days I suppose.
