Talkshite are reporting that Delap is close to joining Chelsea, another young footballer throwing a few years away. if he is been advised by his dad he thought stoke was a good place to play so there is no hope for him.

I’m not sure why folk are so certain Delap won’t get game time at West London Mercenary, Inc. Jackson is good but not great and Nkunku is off (not that he played much). If you sat me down and offered me either Delap or Jackson based on this season I’d probably take Delap.

The issue isn’t about whether he will play, it’s to do with the bomb Squad shite and the way they have no intention of building a squad if they can flip someone. Why you’d want to be a mercenary at the age of 22 is beyond me but whatever

The Chewsee fans I know were all enamoured with Abraham the season they couldn’t buy anyone IIRC. Can’t remember which flop they replaced him with (Lukaku II? Twokaku?) but think the debate at the time was had that he’d been hard done by.

 

Even so, probably not outrageous to think they could do better. Did well at Roma but hasn’t made an impression at Milan. You’d be surprised if he featured for England again.

They had tammy Abraham and weren't happy. 

Arguably haven't had success at striker since Diego Costa.

Jackson's one of the better ones.

I definitely think Chelsea plan on signing him, then doing him dirty and bringing in another big name striker who immediately replaces him as number 1, then selling for £40m+ come Jan, or even loaning in Jan in the hope he goes on a tear and looking for £50m+.

Chelsea are leading the race for Ekitike. They have an agreement with Emegha, who will join next summer from Strasbourg. There are atleast six clubs in the PL, including Everton; Delap should consider joining before Chelsea. Good luck to him. I like him as a player.

Aside from Cunha the only other player being mentioned at the minute from anyone with any credibility is Mbuemo.

Your probably waiting and hoping you can shift bruno so you can bring more players in.

Sounds like we've enough for one more decent signing, then it's reliant on sales.

 

Garnacho/Rashford/Sancho out and the budget is big as that would be well over £100m, with two of them pure profit.

 

Antony has a £32m book value I believe so I'd say it's extremely unlikely he's sold and will probably just go out on loan again with full salary coverage.

I meant for the striker position.

 

Think you really need someone experienced up front. You really should have gone for Toney last summer I thought.

 

Hard to tell where you turn next for someone experienced and comfortable in the league.

 

Best bet is probably trying for Maeteta as he has a year left on his contract and hasn't resigned yet.

 

As for Mbeumo, if Newcastle are really in for him, I think we'll likely get him. But don't think that spot is as big a priority for you as I really think Ahmad is ready to go there.

Garnacho to Napoli? If Conte leaves is that a thing?

 

Reckon you struggle to shift Sancho and Rashford given the mad wages both are on (although never say never with our daft owners)
