I think Son's legs have gone and isn't the same player he once was

Definitely not the same player he was, but still pretty effective, especially if he gets a focal point to play off again in Toney, like he had with Kane I think.

Pretty crazy he still managed 17 goals and 10 assists last season in the league.

Be interesting to see how it plays out.

For the FFP, I do think we banked on bringing in around an extra £10m+ from going further in Europe, and going out altogether was a disaster.

Then unable to move on anyone in January because we were fisted with injuries so rolled the dice more on qualifying for Europe, which then backfired.

Fuck off did anyone at the club see that group and think it would be a disaster not progressing man. Jesus

Seems bizarre that Ederson is willing to leave Man City because he has been "affected" by the praise Stefan Ortega got towards the end of the last season. There's likely more to it but that appears to be the main factor as to why he wants out.

That was already reported to be bs. So if leaves reason is most likely money.

Has it? I've seen the Athletic report it and assume their info is pretty spot on. Thought that being his motive to leave was a little bit off.

The claims in the piece were refuted by Ederson's wife Lais Moraes. Taking to Instagram, she simply wrote: "Get better information first, this is totally fake news."

Do love the Chancellor. Wish he’d been here longer

Abiding memory was him giving the ball away the moment the Strawberry Corner arrived at the "never gives the ball away" part of the song.

This thread is much more interesting than our transfer thread.

Well something is happening here [emoji38] (Not bedwetting, worrying or anything like that. Just a fact)

If Spurs end up with a front three of Son, Toney and Chiesa and get some luck with injuries, they could have a really good season.

Wonder if Mikey Moore will also get some PL time for them this season. Seems like a sensational talent

More pace and directness than Kulu and more clinical than Johnson IMO.

Kulusevski is being made available this summer it seems.

I like him, but my god he was absolutely horseshit the last time I saw him at SJP. Why is he leaving Spurs? A quick google brings nowt.

I've heard the name in passing from Spurs fans but haven't seen him play. But they rate him highly, so he probably will, yeah.

I think they might be are after more direct and faster wingers.

And not sure they were happy with how he played when they moved him inside at times last season.

Not 100% sure to be honest.

For Kulu - he’s not the sort of winger Ange favours but has always considered himself more of a #10. Did a good job at times being the false 9 or even the actual 9 when injuries took their toll, but seems like we’re happy to listen to good offers. Does a lot of good things, can be frustrating.

For Son - he was terrific at LW/CF early last season but has simply played too much football, particularly when factoring in the travel for international games. He’s definitely getting older, but he’s also just knackered. Hopefully we can rest him more this season if we bring in a couple of players up front.

For Mikey Moore - he’s still young enough that Man City and Man U are trying to poach him before he’s allowed to sign an adult contract with us. As a result we’ve fast-tracked him a bit to try to nail him down. He could be really special - has that sort of Rooney thing where he already seems to have adult strength and balance, and cockiness to spare. Expect to see him get a lot of minutes this year, although all off the bench.

Did you lot ever try Kulu in one of your advanced 8 positions?

Think he could look really decent in there instead.

Don’t think he’s dynamic enough or possesses enough pace/acceleration for what Ange wants there. Tends to turn the same way when receiving the ball too. Such an interesting player though. Covers an unbelievable amount of ground, and from time to time produces moments of breathtaking vision and skill.
