LionOfGosforth Posted yesterday at 19:19 Share Posted yesterday at 19:19 (edited) Not that we were in for him anyway, or would have bent over for his absurd wage demands, but that Cunha transfer is a tiny microcosm of what we're still up against when it comes to competing for players. Man Utd just had their worst season in 50 years, no Europe whatsoever, little prospect of challenging, 1bn in debt, but sure, let's just casually pay out a 100m package on another flavor-of-the-minute player the second the season ends. Just because they can I suppose? Not doubting his ability btw, clearly talented, but there's something horribly depressing about a player like that in his prime, not even hesitating for a second to go there and likely waste his prime years. Wages in the game are just beyond daft. 1 billion quid in debt but no issue paying someone 15m a year as they sack half the staff at the same time. Gruesome club. joeyt Posted yesterday at 19:28 Share Posted yesterday at 19:28 (edited) Quote Tottenham have been offered the opportunity to sign Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane. The former Manchester City forward becomes a free agent when his Bayern contract expires at the end of next month. Spurs have become a more attractive proposition after qualifying for the Champions League by winning the Europa League. The 29-year-old scored 13 goals in 45 games across all competitions this season for Bayern. Edited yesterday at 19:28 by joeyt

Reinforces everything that is wrong with football and how clubs like Man U call the shots. They can continue to make mistake after mistake yet clubs with 0 debt have their hands tied. Hopefully it all blows up for them again.

Costs a ton? Just had a good season? Opportunity to be seen paying stupid wages? Check on all counts. Good enough. Sign him. Cunts.
