Kieran Trippier to undergo Atlético Madrid medical after £20m (€22m) fee agreed - The Telegraph

Very odd transfer.

Simeone might make him look decent defensively though

Not odd for us though - feels like a good return. He's not had the best of seasons (partly through injury) and we have cover at RB. Trippier looked a bit out of place in the really big games.

PSG have sold so many of their talented youngsters for dirt cheap this Summer.

RB Leipzig will sign midfielder Christopher Nkunku from PSG today for €15m, subject to a medical.

Bayer Leverkusen have completed the signing of teenage attacker Moussa Diaby from PSG for €15million.

Official: Timothy Weah joins LOSC Lille from PSG with €9,5 million euros.

N’Soki next?

I’d love to have seen us buy from them this Summer :(

Denis Suárez joins Celta Vigo from Barcelona for 13 million euros.

So much great talent could have been had for cheap this Summer :hmm:

Borussia Mönchengladbach expect to complete the signing of Marcus Thuram for €10m-€12m; Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl: "We have a good feeling & I hope we’re on the home stretch.

Another one to add onto the list :hmm:

Still value in the French/European market.

Replacing him or sticking with Aurier and Walker-Peters?

Nobody really knows . There's talk of Foyth moving over to RB too, and we're supposedly trying to get both of the Sessegnons. General feeling last year was that with everybody fit, RB was the weakest position, but also had the most depth. They were all pretty much of a muchness.

It's not a big surprise that it looks like Trippier's on his way, but it's a big surprise that it's to Atletico Madrid.

Not sure Stephane Sessegnon will add much but I guess he's better than our signings.
