Still difficult to stomach when you see Brighton/Villa/Leeds throwing in 20m bids for players (whether good enough is a separate debate). Pretty sure anyone half decent would have had an attack of Thauvin, Wijnaldum, Sissoko, Perez, De Jong, Townsend, Cisse & Mitrovic at least comfortable mid-table.
