Did I just hear right that the offer was just for 1 year?  (Keith Downie SSN)

Yep, same salary plus bonuses but refused infrastructure demand etc etc.

They have fucked him around for 18 months man.

KK was right, these cunts never change, nor do our fans. Roll up roll up

I'll always love Rafa for all that he tried to do but the sad reality is i checked out long before Rafa was here and i never really recovered as much as i've tried to care i just can't.

So this news doesn't really hurt me that much as i stopped caring a long time ago.

Just confirms what I’ve known deep down the entire time.

This football club is dead.  Rafa was a flicker, an Amber of hope. It’s gone.

Yep, in a horrible way it's actually better if we have a shit manager. Rafa was masking the non-football-club that they really are.

Eddie Howe favourite

Which god did Gallowgate End piss off?

Why would Howe leave to come here?

He's a club god and is allowed to blow 20 million a pop on Liverpool and Chelsea reserves

He's much better than what they're likely to get.

I once had a mate who was an alcoholic. Kept relapsing after going into treatment centres etc. Lost his business, his girlfriend, his money, his looks. The trajectory was tragically predictable. And yet, when he died, it left me feeling kinda numb with the inevitability of it all. Found myself sitting in a cafe one day staring into the mid-distance hearing the same old words going round and round in my head: "There was never really any hope of him recovering, was there? We were all just deluding ourselves. Because life never ceases to find ways of kicking you in the teeth."

Can't think what triggered that thought, sorry. As you were, everyone...

:undecided:

Football clubs should have protected status by law in that no one is allowed to own them for purely commercial purposes and if the owner purposefully hamstrings them from competing properly, he can be removed.

How exactly does Ashley’s ownership benefit the city, fans or club? It’s wrong on so many levels and needs to change.
