The year when we finished 5th was the perfect time for Ashley to actually progress the club and his opportunity to move us forward. That summer’s transfer window showed to me he neither wants or requires the club to be competitive. As a businessman (and to be fair a pretty successful one) I’ve never understood his approach of not investing and keeping to his methods of buy cheap, price cheap and sell big. It obviously works in the sporting goods world, but will never work in the Premier League.

He is knackered if this specific takeover does not happen as although he may have new buyers, I just can’t see anyone buying the club at the current value, when the infrastructure, the team and the facilities would require a massive investment now to move forward. Maybe he will get another mega rich investment (I doubt it), but I can currently see only a similar type of owner probably being interested.

I will turn my back fully this year with him and Bruce still at the helm. I just can’t stomach one game more of these two pricks in charge.

apparently he was furious with Pardew as he'd gambled almost £10m to buy Cisse in the january but we still failed to qualify for the champions league.

I know as I said I just can’t understand why he bought the club. The rumours were that it was for a bit of fun and a laugh. It’s quite obvious it was exactly that especially when you consider that he was out drinking and socialising with the fans, up to when the Keegan fallout. Ever since that day I’m convinced he absolutely detests the support and enjoys sticking his two fingers up (in real life also as we all seen in the photo). Also convinced that he’s more bothered with this takeover for the prospect of cashing in on his product within the Middle East, than he is of making a profit on the club and seeing it develop. The bloke is a grade ‘A’ cunt, who has sucked out any enjoyment of supporting the club.

When we finished 5th Ashley just seen pound signs. Taking the club forward? Seriously? He wants us to finish 17th every year, finishing 5th just puts massive valuations on our players and gives Ashley the chance to sell and make bank. That will always be the case under his ownership. I mean fucking hell, we finished 12th this year, Ashley probably thinks we can sell the likes of ASM or Wilson, pocket a few quid, buy someone on the cheap and still scrape 17th place next year.

I think given the start we had in 2011-12, and the fact that he allowed the purchase of Cisse in January when we were 6th or 7th in the table he did want us in the top 4 and I kinda buy the rumour that he was furious that we finished 5th and missed out on top 4 and CL money. By comparison look at 2013-14, we were 6 points off top on Boxing Day but did he allow investment in January? No, we sold our best player in Cabaye (who we've still not replaced to this day) and brought in Luuk De Jong on loan before the season tailed off with us getting battered regularly as it was job done; out of the cups and had ~40 points at the turn of the year.

Pardew is also to blame for this btw, after the disaster that was 2012-13 he convinced Ashley, Llambias and a chunk of the fanbase that being in the Europa League was a bad thing.

Don’t think anyone doesn’t realise this though.

Liam Kennedy’s excellent journalism showing it’s face there.

He’s ok and his heart is in the right place as he does want to see the club progress (naturally as a supporter). Noticed he has went from saying he is fully confident the takeover is happening to one of saying he’s not sure these last couple of months. Right way to go as nobody knows for sure. I mentioned last week

I just wish all the people claiming to be in the know or having some supposed knowledge would just give it a rest and let the legal cases make the decisions. I just can’t see any of these ‘in the know’ voices having any effect whatsoever in either case. Nobody knows what is being presented by either side and nobody will get to know until a decision has been made. Opinions for either side winning the case carry no credence for these very reasons. Just can’t see any point of the consistent calling out, when not one person knows what is being presented within their arguments by either legal side.

I woke up this morning and saw that 64 new posts had been made in the takeover thread and thought there might have been some news/updates being discussed. However, nearly every single post was a back and forth charade of who is right and who is wrong (again) based on very little apart from I’m right kids play.

I can see media voices, arguments on here, Twitter, exclusives building up even more unfortunately with the current set case deadlines approaching. Just wish everyone would let it play out and wait for the legal cases to be heard. This is a general post not aimed at anyone specifically. Just sick of hearing who is right or wrong.

I agree generally, the only comment I would make is I haven’t seen many, if any, people claiming to be ITK.

Most people are just sharing their opinion and people then discuss that opinion and either agree or disagree with it.

Of course nobody can know the outcome of the case, neither the PL or NUFC will know either.

But yeah, I agree. My post was because I don’t rate Kennedy at all, never really have.

Except a certain ineffective midfielder who must have thought all his Christmas’s had come together with this news and the one that followed with the Bruce appointment. Still giving nothing on the pitch and also a first team shoe in. He’s not the only one still at the club who would certainly not there if Rafa was still here.

Funny enough Atsu is one of them even though he recognised and appreciated by his comments, the forward plan in place. Mind I think Rafa would probably have got him fixed up at another club if he could not be sold, instead of having to train with the U23s all season with only a few reserve outings to his name.

He's utterly obsessed with him mind, the little fucking weirdo.

I actually thought he seemed decent pre-Bruce!

He's turned into a complete and utter helmet since he was appointed!

Absolutely pathetic that headline! All to antagonise our fans and get comments and clicks!

He's not going to get much from Rafa if the takeover goes through and he returns!

Blocked him ages ago :flex:

That's the way to go, don't feed the troll. Don't give him the satisfaction of a response and he'll go and antagonize another fan base, most likely with a hatchet job about one of England's promising black footballers.
