I think Dummett coming back has been the most important thing this season, Manquillo at LB was a horrific mess at best.

He deserves credit, couldn't imagine him being a key player for us turning our season around but he has definitley helped alot.

We could've been in and around 7th fighting for a potential Europa League place had we had a capable striker; Swansea at home, Burnley at home, Brighton at home, Bournemouth at home, Bournemouth away, even Palace away (we had a break which we really should've scored from at the very start of the 2nd half at 0-1). There's a collective 13 points dropped due to the squandering of many scoring opportunities. Goes to show how good a job Rafa is doing this season and how fucked over he's been in the transfer market.

Whilst all of that is true - Ashley wont see past the fact that we’ve survived relegation. In his eyes, it will have been an overwhelming success and further evidence that he doesn’t need to spend millions of pounds on players whilst we have Rafa.

Infuriating but most definitely true. Suppose it hinges on the potential of a takeover.

This is it for me, 7th or 17th there's not a huge difference in what it means financially to Ashley. Controversial, but if there was a greater divide in prize money as the top 6 wanted then maybe teams would try harder to break into that?

Manquillo was pure trash man, as nice of a young fella as he probably is - he was basically crap in every match he's played for us. Would have played Clark or Mbemba out there if anything.

I see the logic, but by increasing the prize money for the top 6 places, you automatically strengthen those teams already in it, thus making it harder for those outside of it to break in.

It's a tough one to call because you don't want disparity but at the same time there needs to be incentive to try and challenge for outside the top 4

Can we just give this fucker manager of the year? Not much short of.miraculous to get this bunch where they are.

won't be mentioned by the usual shitsippers but it really is fucking incredible the job he's done

 Given the lack of resources he was 'given', compared to every other PL team.
