I almost can't remember what it's like to support a properly-run, ambitious football club. It'll take a while for the pessimistic outlook and curbed expectations to subside because they've been ingrained for 10 years.

Being professional again and getting some dignity back.

Thatll be the tape we play when it falls through.

Brilliant news! The clouds are lifting.

A bit surprised that its not breaking from the Star or the Express if the main man was there for the curry. Not that it matters.

Might have to get up at 5am for the match now!

Even if it was £100m this window it would be leaked as £30m...

Aye. Saying we’ve publically got £100 million is only going to drive prices up.

If PCP are doing a deal with Ashley to loan money until the deal is complete, then £30m is probably as good as it's going to get.

The National have flipped from being the only ones saying it was on to the most pessimistic out there:

https://www.thenational.ae/sport/newcastle-takeover-hangs-in-the-balance-as-ashley-holds-out-for-300m-from-staveley-1.684178

Nothing in that article would point to several journalists being wrong about a £300 million pound deal.

Also in regards to the Daily Mails £30 million budget 5 days ago they were saying Staveley was sticking to her £250 million price and wasn't going to budge now he knows all the finer details of a deal and what Benitez is going to get. Bollocks
