I think another bid will go in after the TV deal but we need to put pressure on Ashley to make him go because it might take a bit of a crowbar to get him out

So are we up for sale ?  Confused as fuck and what has happened to these bids that have been made by various consortiums ?  Is Staveley out the picture now or deliberating another bid when the new T.V deal comes in ?

What various consortiums? There is PCP and some made up shite by Ashley to try to get her to bump up her bid.

the Chronicle said there were at least 4  interested parties  who signed non disclosure agreements (gagging orders) .

.....and not one of them showed an interest other than PCP.

Staveley basically called his bluff as well when the supposed other bid came in, just more bullshit.  There's only one genuinely interest party imo.

The whole club for sale nonsense is the same shite Ashley has pulled before in order to build fans up and tear them down.

He seems to want to sell the club for a massive profit and walk away clean. what he is failing to grasp is that no potential buyer would buy outright for the sum he wants because of the pending outcome of HMRC investigation, the question marks over relegation and the pish poor value of the playing squad.

when he bought us our playing squad was a far better financial asset than what it is now.

And lets not forget the additional land around St James park that he's flogging off and wanting apartments and casinos and such on. That he got as part of the purchase but isn't selling on with the sale of the club.

he's a liar, a conman, a thief, a cheat and couldnt give a toss about the club or the fans as long as he's turning a profit.

we'll go down again, he'll asset strip the club and sell it off for as much as he can get and walk away laughing, having pocketed TV money for this season, as well as gate receipts and any transfer fee's

My guess is he'll sell this summer but it will only be if we stay up in the PL.

Aye, I think so too. He won't take the massive loss on it he'll get if we go down. He'd rather risk his hand bringing us back up on a shoestring.

He wouldn't be putting any more of his money in. It's the club's money - money that is guaranteed to come in during the summer (PL competing fee) - that he is refusing to spend.

Think this nailed it.

"rather than allowing the club to spend what it earns to survive, the club is being forced to hold in reserve enough to finance a season in the championship.  Only funds available after that can be invested in the squad."

am not sure how to interpret this bit from the article.  is it smart planning ahead, or bitter behavior from a man who's had his fingers burned?  or...what?

Basically he wants to earn around 100m profit to top up his selling price (likely to be 300m) by cutting all kinds of spending. That together would give him 400m which was his original asking price last summer.

My 2nd guess is if we stay up, he'll just top off whatever he sells the club for with emptying out that bank account as profit, and tell new owner that it's their duty to fund and/or wait for the PL tv money. If we go down, he'll use TV money not spent to cover wages, fund player transfers.

Thick fat cunt doesn't realize if he speculated a bit in the summer prior he'd have likely had a club "safe" from relegation, would have gotten the price he wanted, and could have fucked off into the sunset.

We've been through this like, I'm sure you're well wrong on this assumption man. He might well pay himself £100m back off the loans but he then simply won't be able to command the same price for the club. Nobody on earth would be stupid enough to pay it considering they're not paying it now while the cash is in the club.

Surely a club with £100nill in the bank and a £100mill debt, is worth the same as a club with neither? Or close enough.

i simply just don't get the man.  he's SO disagreeable & must suffer from some kind of inferiority complex.  He could've been an absolute over-the-top, bar none legend in Newcastle AND still made money, but has chosen, what? pettiness & spite just to start the list.  I detest him more than any politician in my country.  may his fortune crumble, his relationships fail & karma blast him into submission!  :snod:

I agree on the politician thing. I know 'its only football' but he's the kind of wilfully brazen fatcat who thinks nothing of shitting on the little fella to make a fast buck. Up there with the rest of them.

If only our political representatives didn't spend their time encouraging the kind of behaviour.

i think it's because MA has a far more directly perceptible effect on my day-to-day happiness.  i can shake my fist at/about my mayor/gov/prez, but, really i expect them to lie & be greedy and that is what it is: steadily depressing. Fat Assley on the other hand ruins almost all of any joy i take from football: he's the reason we're shite & can't compete & lose. And even when we win i know it really only helps him.

No, not really. What if the max cash outlay Amanda or other potential buyers able to pay is around 300m? You are somewhat correct that taking out cash will affect the value of the club (although I reiterate that it is not simple maths).  In other words, the fat c*** is decreasing the clubs total asset value and so the price required for takeover has been reduced. The entry barrier has been lowered.

Don't you wonder why the fat c*** lowered his asking price from 400m to 300m? The answer to me is simple: he didn't lower it. He just use the clubs money to cover that 100m. Everything is well planned.

In accounting book, yes. But to the fat cunt it's different because in the event of a takeover likely the loan to the fat cunt will also be fully paid. So actually the price offered by Amanda (say 300m) is the price to pay off loan from the fat cunt and the equity injected by the fat cunt.
