Hanshithispantz
I love people who pretend too hard about how overly joyed they are about a pointless bullying of some s**** League 2 side in the early stages of the FA Cup that they cannot even see like. Tbf it's a bit of an anomaly for us after Pardver et al. If you can't take joy in a comfortable win what's the point? There's taking joy and there's telling people they must fucking cheer up over their concern of a potential injury of our key player because we're also dicking Luton Town

Figures 1-0 Football
Absolutely pathetic that fans of our club are moaning about playing a full strength team and actually going for it in a cup match. We’ve been fucking hindered for years of limping out of this competition with a whimper after some woeful team selections and some even more woeful performances. This is an in-form team we’re playing against and our acadamy and development players are fucking useless, we’d have probably have lost this with a weakened team. Or, got a replay that would then negatively impact on our season. Happy to risk an injury if it gives us the chance of actually being a competitive football club. Interpolic
Heard about Lascelles, any news on whether they're amputating the right leg or the left leg?
Away Day Gadgie
I guarantee if Lascelles hadn't started and we were losing this 1-0, people would be saying we should've played him. He's our best defender, our leader, most important player etc. Only muppets. If he's out for the season would you say it was worth it? I would say that if it's an off the ball injiry like some people have said, then it probably would've happened in training or something anyway. You can't blame Rafa for wanting his main man in the side to avoid embarrassment, we've been appalling without him. It's exactly that reason we shouldn't be risking him, especially as he's picked up injuries already this season. If we can't avoid being appalling without him at the back against Luton then we've no chance of staying up. What do suggest we do then? Wrap him in cotton wool and keep him in a nice, secure box and only let him come out on matchday? Footballers get injured man, get over it! I've already suggested what to do....keep up. People have different opinions regarding football...OMFG!"$"£ get over it! You suggested playing "the kids", mint solution that like! Would love to know which ones you think are good enough to play at CB, as i can't think of any considering it's well known our development squads are s****. Toon No9
Lascelles limped before the first goal. Was asked if he could play on. Than subbed when the first goal went in. www.shieldsgazette.com/sport/football/newcastle-united/jamaal-lascelles-suffers-worrying-injury-in-newcastle-s-fa-cup-tie-against-lutom-1-8943654

Mole_Toonfan
Happy to risk an injury if it gives us the chance of actually being a competitive football club. Aye let's get relegated because our best defender gets injured in a cup game, prospective new owners lose interest, Rafa leaves with no real future in sight. You can't be that short sighted. WarrenBartonCentrePartin
Aye Luton brought 7.5k but that's still decent for a third round game against a League Two side.

TRon
Why would Rafa risk Lascelles if he wasn't fit to start? He's ultra cautious with rotations anyway, obviously he's took a knock during the game.

sixx
I'm hanging on to the hope that Lascelles was brought off as a precaution. At least he wasn't stretchered off. Maybe the gameplan was to keep him on until we got a goal? After all jet fuel can't melt steel beams.
