Don't think Pep is a great CL manager. Don't see City winning it. Hopefully Atleti can finally do it

Forgot about Atletico, rooting for Ajax then them.

That golden era is officially finished.

No coincidence that Real went to the semis at least in 8 of the 9 seasons Cronaldo was there.  Everyone since the first.

Need to rebuild the squad.

I wouldn’t rush to judgement just yet just because they’ve been knocked out of the CL and unlikely to win La Liga, Real Madrid will always be in contention to win the big trophies and will keep on winning them. If not all the time or most of the time like they have done recently, then some of the time. This may well indeed be an end of an era, but if so, only an end to their current era of dominance.

An era no-one can seriously ever truly rule them out from repeating or returning to again at some point in the near future as long as they qualify, because for them nothing less than winning it counts and as a result they will always be in contention to win it and always one of the biggest challengers to the others in contention.

That will never change!

Well that and the enormous amount of money they have.

We are pretty unreliable this season so not sure we can go all the way - we could if we got some consistency though. I think this is one of our last chances to win the thing since once Messi retires we'll find ourselves in Real Madrid's position - Messi carries us so often.

Excited about De Jong though!

Hate it when players make a massive deal out of not celebrating against former teams.

depends on the context for me, if its say someone who came through at a club or spent a long time there scoring against them fair enough but spend 1 or 2 seasons there fuck that, bloody celebrate

Man Utd bench tonight is full of regens

Their starting 11 looks pretty woeful too. Ashley Young making a return to the right wing at the age of 33.

Wing back, playing 3 at the back apparently.
