One of the lads on here said after he was recalled from Man United "They should clap him in chains and hoy him into the Tyne".

Quite the redemption. He's been solid replacing Popey and good luck to him.

Is that because his coming in has been at the same time as Tonali moving central and we can all see the benefit of that ?

Yea, might be a few factors but the results are what they are. Fare thee well I say.

I tell you what. Talk about a redemption story. Fucked off to Man U. Came back and was utterly hopeless for half a season. Then comes back in as we go and win 7 in a row.

Thanks for the memories, Dubs. Solid servant in the end.

It will be mad to sell him right now, PSR or no PSR, we need to keep him until Pope is back.

Even when he's back - Pope hasn't been his best this season.  And his kicking :scared: Dubs has earned his spot.

We need to keep him even when Pope’s back, fuck PSR can’t risk derailing the season unless it’s absolutely stupid money.

Mad selling him now, Pope still injured...

Pope is back just not full training and we have 5 keepers in the books if psr wasn't a thing letting players go for free if it suits us is fine but that's not the reality. We aren't good sellers at all and if there is money to be made for someone at the wrong end of his career and save wages and go to a new no1 or a real threat to Pope then it needs to be done.

Echo what others have said; an incredibly fitting end to what has ultimately been a very decent career with us. Will be fondly remembered and I'm pleased for him for that.

I swear we must have made some tactical adjustments to ensure he didn't face a single shot to his right in this run of games.

Last January it was 'If we sell Trippier we'll have nobody to play RB', so we kept him. And look where that led us in the Summer. Kieran Trippier is now an aging, backup right back and Yankuba Minteh is at Brighton with a good decade ahead of him. Dubravka has been a great servant but in a world where all our business is dictated by PSR, this is 100% the right move.

I'd actually hate to see him go now, he's making saves as well as look miles better than Pope with his feet. Unless we have a massive upgrade planned to come in before Wolves, then it's a no go, surely?

I guess that is the bit we don't know

Surely nows the time to cash in

How many times do we hear we should have sold "such and such" last January and we never and it fucked us for PSR etc

We can't have it both ways!!

Redeemed himself slightly but the whole man u episode pissed me off summit rotten

I apologise in advance because I hate any negativity after a great win such as tonight but ............. I thought Dubravka was very shaky tonight, especially at the corners Arsenal had.  I was shitting myself at every set piece the Gooners had.

I get that, but this one genuinely feels like it could derail what is great momentum atm. Dubz leaves, who comes in? It's only the Greek left, who we clearly have very little confidence in.

Right now, as much as it makes financial sense, it certainly doesn't make football sense.

I agree, he punched a few he could have caught, but Arsenal's corners are designed to create choas and they get away with loads in the process, so maybe punching was the best idea, rather risk an attempted catch and drop without getting a free kick.

Was going to post the same thing, he was flapping a lot tonight, the one where he kicked it instead of just dropping and taking it in his hands had me apopleptic.

That said, it looks like he's gone, and he left with a clean sheet and putting us on the road to a final, so what a way to go.

Pope will be back and I presume there is something in the Trafford move. Who seems to be the long term target

Got sick of hearing about how we should have sold trippier last January when he had 12 fit players!! So can't be arsed with all the hindsight merchants if we don't sell this window again, and if he's the man to go so be it
