Maybe pre 92 fair enough but since then we have been superior and higher profile in every way. Anyone with half brain can see that Newcastle is 100x the place and club Sunderland is on and off the pitch. I'm convinced it's there obsession, bitterness and massive chip on their shoulder towards all things Newcastle that hold them back. If we somehow ever had to play their under 21s ( not that we would) we would be embarrassed yet they are giving it the big un. Same with the checkatrade. They are in league one with a half empty ground with litter blowing all over playing Burton and Plymouth with Lee Barry as their main man and a city resembling chickentown and they still mention us. Look at the 2 clubs over the last 27 years and they are inferior in every way. They should be ashamed but they go on like they are something special. Just rabid inbred bitterness and jealousy.
