Needs to have 100% of a say or no say in decisions like that, VAR. Leaving it up to the on-field ref to decide if he wants to look at VAR or not makes it look silly. Yeah it's dumb otherwise. How does that make VAR shite? The ref is shite, VAR is just a source the ref can use to help make his decisions. Most seem to have made use of it and its made a difference.
