cp40
People who say it needs to be on tele, a televised game will most likely be against a "top" side, putting people off boycotting. on telly what would have more impact would be a 70 min walk out- would also get the support of many of the support the team fans. Crumpy Gunt
New Years Day game v Man Utd would be the ideal game for the boycott. it'll be moved for telly. No way that's happening on NYD
Crumpy Gunt
The craic about needing a televised game is also misleading. All of our games are televised, just not in the UK. It's arguably a bigger problem for the premier League if the overseas broadcasters start kicking off about empty stadia etc etc why would they give a shit? number9shirt
There is no way mike is a fit & proper owner for a business like HOF let alone our football club. Instead of chanting at games we should petition the premier league & FA to investigate the relationship between him/SD and our club. Mike Ashley should be disqualified from football club ownership. It's arguably a bigger problem for the premier League if the overseas broadcasters start kicking off about empty stadia etc etc why would they give a shit? Because overseas broadcasters buy the concept and experience of the premier League - full stadiums, the fans, great players etc. The product is fundamentally damaged and harder to flog if the stadiums are empty

AyeDubbleYoo
Football clubs need some sort of protected status and legislation to protect the fans specifically. Fear the ship has sailed now the premier league is so established though.

Matt
Football clubs need some sort of protected status and legislation to protect the fans specifically. Fear the ship has sailed now the premier league is so established though. Yeah, big money rules now. But it's possible the leagues could introduce a rule than in the event of administration or other insolvency event, that club's league membership is conditional on a meaningful % of the shares in the club being sold to supporters groups or trusts. ToonArmy1892
Why do we have to wait for a televised game to hold a card up at a certain minute for example? It will still be picked up on, be on match of the day etc. I mean, i can sort of see why you'd want a televised game for the organised boycott, but there are other things that can be done in ground on non televised games. Anyway, it was encouraging to hear many people saying it needs to be taken into the ground. I love Rafa as much as the next man, but in this case we have to ignore what he says and just do what we think is right.
