Guest chopey
##STOP THE PROTESTS## Rafa is thinking about maybe considering to start contemplating a new contract according to the Chronicle.
Darth Crooks
Thing is do you think anyone protesting would not love an hour away from the wife or enjoy a few pints or not have the moral dilemma of choosing between lining the pockets of a complete cunt or bringing up their kids or future kids within the culture of match day. I’m not pious or perhaps I risk it, but get over yourself. I just don’t want to give my hard earned to a complete prick who sees me no better than dirt on his shoe - if that makes me a misguided idealist then so be it. I also got well ive paid so I’m going, well so have I mate, I asked just for one game don’t go to show the nation but they weren’t having it Their prerogative they’ll say and of course it is but why should ever, ever expect or demand any better or hope for more? Every bit of criticism they can lay at any manager of merit, player or decision can be caveated by well what are you doing to tell otherwise? You pay your money knowing full well it’s not going to be invested. Bottom line. To achieve the bottom line. He even adds outright cruelty to the mix. We all know how it works. Sky. Giant company. Sky charge stupid money for their services and take the piss but we all know someone whose rung up and got movies, sports, porn for 15 pcm because that’s business and business sense. Yet they’ll accept being laughed at at NUFC. I’ll tell you who he’ll never laugh at - they guy or gal not giving a penny to him and exposing his lies and putting an empty seat in front of his shitty signs. Every human face, every printed shirt and every scarf put in front of those eyesores isn’t support of him, it isn’t agreement but it’s vindication and tolerance. Tolerance that you will bear any shit flung at you and vindication that his methods are what works. The same voices will bemoan the inevitable third relegation and this player and that because ‘they are entitled to their opinion’ but why is that worth a damn because you can never expect or demand better whilst he is in a position to laugh at you. Guest chopey
A lot of the fans that sit around me won't shout or protest or attend an event they don't want or have a voice but when we go down and Rafa leaves to put the club in total limbo they just won't turn up anymore next seasons championship gates will struggle to hit 30000. Guest NobbyOhNobby
Really pleased that after about a month or so of virtually nothing and a last minute notification for the last protest, I'm pleased they have set an agenda going forward. I still think the Wolves game may be too soon for people not active in the protests to contemplate making the jump to not attending, but if that's what they have decided then go for it. I'm also very pleased that the protest at Shirebrook is going ahead, especially as I was one of the first to suggest it. I would love to go but unfortunately, I'm away that weekend, but I do hope it gains good coverage. I also hope the Magpie group take my advice and closely select people they are taking down, because going there we will be on a tightrope legally of where we can be, and what we can do, without a police force who would presumably have Newcastle fans to sympathise with us and guide us. We cannot afford for any radgies to go there, be somewhere where they can't go, and do or say something too far that will put others there at risk, and put the group's name and reputation at risk. This reads really weird
geordiedean
TMG should look at forming an alliance with Rangers groups when protesting at SD sites, more exposure to the media from 2 sets of fans he is fucking over and 2 clubs hes absolutely screwing would be more advantageous and debilitating to his business

Mattoon
You can still spend time away from the house/Mrs by joining in with demonstrations for the same aloted time as the match itself. Complaining that you've already bought the ticket and Ashley already has your money so doesn't care if you don't go completely ignores the impact of a boycott. Not going to a match you've paid money for is more impactful than protesting outside a match you had no intention of putting money into. Thick, stubborn, whatever the reason, these people are part of the problem not the saviours of our league status, nothing will change without action. Guest covmag
can i ask how many realistically would be expected to stay away? 1,000/3? 4? 10k? just asking
Geordie Ahmed
Sadly I'd be surprised if it's more than 3-4 thousand, our support resembles zombies, apathy has well and truly kicked in. The only way the attendance will drop is if we get relegated and we actually struggle, like the Mackems rather than actively boycotting it will be people staying away. I can't remember for sure but I thought it was around the 25K mark. That would be brilliant this time around but I can't see it happening.
AyeDubbleYoo
Everyone just needs to forget about the ‘waste of time’ brigade, don’t waste any effort criticising your fellow fans. Just try to convince anyone you think it’s possible to convince and join in with whatever action you can personally.

Just try to convince anyone you think it’s possible to convince and join in with whatever action you can personally. Yeah, but 'waste of time' ffs. How some can think that is genuinely beyond me. I'd much rather try my bollocks off and fail than sit there and take it and watch that horrid bastard kill this club more than he already has. HaydnNUFC
I've got 31k in my head for some reason? Think it mightve been that. Attendance: 47,427 tickets sold, including 2,800 away fans. It's debatable whether the actual number of people in the ground was less than the 41,053 figure published for a 1-2 home defeat by Blackburn Rovers on a Wednesday night in November 2010 - the smallest PL crowd at SJP since the ground capacity passed 50,000 in 2000. Following social media claims that Newcastle City Council had given a crowd figure of 30,075 after this game, they issued a flat denial that any such figure had been released. LRD
Attendance: 47,427 tickets sold, including 2,800 away fans. Think clubs will always declare tickets sold than actual attendance, and can't see it any different this time round. Still, it's worthwhile to keep at the boycott and use that as a start for other activities and public awareness of our cause. Photos on matchday will give a good indication of the crowd.
