Miguel Almirón - Completes move to Atlanta (Official)

Recommended Posts

Good servant, good move for all. Feels a little bit iffy letting him go without a backup RW to replace him, but we can't hold on to players like him forever.

How is this allowed to happen, it’s really the opposite of securing a club’s future ffs. We have to sell for PSR reasons when haven’t signed anyone or will be making a transfer. The whole thing stinks

As long as those books are balanced... 😅

The right move at the right time for all concerned. Pleased he'll get a chance to play but I'm also pleased we managed to get a moderate chunk of money for him so we can move on and improve. We need to try and do something similar with another 4 or 5 if possible

Great move for him.

Deserves way more respect than he gets on here and in general. Sort of stick he gets should only be reserved for dickheads, lazy bastards and players scamming a living. Wouldn't even feel comfortable talking about Wayne Fereday the way Miggys spoke about on here.

Are there any interviews of him speaking English?

Can't remember ever hearing him speak

Speaks a bit on the cooking challenge he did earlier in the season.

Lovely character and nice bloke who worked his socks off.  Crap to average footballer.  That is NOT giving him stick.  It just happens to be the truth.

Thanks for your incredible efforts despite lack of top class quality.

That said, sometimes I do wonder it’s genuinely a lack of quality or a lack of ambition/improvements.

So pleased to see him get so much love.

Are Atlanta expecting a good season? Just looked at their squad and the only name I recognise is a 40 year Brad Guzan between the sticks.

They are investing well, it remains to be seen if the players they are buying will be enough to win the MLS or just make them a decent side.

They are buying Lath from Boro, and been linked with another who’s name escapes me.

Miggy will tear it up in that league. For all their ambition, their level is still way below the PL so I reckon he'll score plenty of goals, might be even more of a success than when he was there as a younger player. He'll be battle hardened after playing here so long.

Yeah I think he could go back there with the PL experience and feel a bit more like a proper big fish in a small pond. I'd love it for him and the fans too as they really do seem to love him.

Loved Miggy as a person. Sometimes frustrating as a footballer (purple patch aside). He gave us some special moments.

Think that sums up my feelings right now.

Wish him nothing but the best back in the MLS
