Miguel Almirón: fee agreed with Atlanta United (Edwards)

Recall reading Atlanta were in for a striker as well as Almiron. Seemed they were originally after Latte Lath at Boro but the delay in the Almiron deal going ahead might be something to do with them getting their ducks in a row on the striker front first?

If true, that would have been a fine move for Edouard

Great news in theory but will only celebrate if a replacement comes in. And it sounds unlikely.

Anyway, thanks for that purple patch Miggy. The rhythm and noise of his PSG goal will live me forever.

Nothing but love for Miggy, he's epitome of what can be done with hard work and a great attitude on and off the pitch.

There's zero reason to caveat any praise with "he's just not good enough for where we want to be" or any of that bollocks.

Show a little respect for a player with a great attitude, a great smile and someone who scored some of the most memorable goals in our recent history, including a goal that created the loudest reaction at SJP vs PSG.

I hope some sunny day we see him back at SJP as a fan. He will be very fondly remembered.

Says more about elite level football in 2025 than anything else that some people are falling over themselves to get rid of a player like this so we can satisfy arbitrary and clearly unfair financial regulations. So fucking sad what this game has come to.

No criticism of people who accept PSR for what it is and see moves like this as the price of progress btw; my criticism is of the regulators only, and the leagues that have sleepwalked into this position.

He'll be a hell of a half time hero some day :)
