Deuce
Would like to see Kenedy get the run out at LWB. See what happens.
AyeDubbleYoo
Would like to see Kenedy get the run out at LWB. See what happens. I think so too, as much as I admit Richie's work rate he's had a very bad time on the ball.
Away Toon
What position did he play at Atalanta? He looks wasted as a left winger, we need to get him a lot more involved in the game.

For Atlanta* he played number 10, just off Martínez I think.
AyeDubbleYoo
He doesn’t play LW for us, just has to work back there when we’re playing class teams like Arsenal.
Yorkie
Arsenal was the longest time he's ever spent basically on the touchline, he was effectively an orthodox left-winger and did his defensive duties well - he looks like a grafter. Players like him always take some time to settle. He's only one piece of the puzzle - the first piece - of Rafa's Premier League version of Newcastle United. Every signing until Miggy has merely been gap-filling and punts based on a paltry transfer budget.
Newcastle Fan
We won't be able to judge him properly until next season, this season can be his crash course into this league.

He was canny today and has been overall, he does seem very nervous though when in good positions and probably needs a goal to settle him.

r0cafella
He needs a Shelvey in the team to get the best out of him and put him in good areas. There were times tonight when he made great runs and Ritchie and Hayden, Diame just couldn’t provide him the pass. Towards the end I saw him make a frustrated gesture after yet another of his great runs wasn’t even spotted This x 1000. I realise Hayden has been putting in decent performances recently and Diame provides steel in CM but Shelvey gives us something that no other player in the midfield ranks can. We've got more pace and movement in the side than we've had for ages and yet the guy most likely to capitalise on it is benched. I could understand it when Longstaff was playing but not now. Sorry Rafa, I think you've got this one wrong pal. Shelvey is a liability, I'm not sure why his supposed contribution to the team grows when he doesn't play. jackyboy
Thought he played well yesterday. Couple of times he passed to Ritchie then started a run looking for the return but it never came. He was given the ball more times by Shelvey during his short time on the pitch than he got from Ritchie the whole game.
ujpest doza
I thought Almiron and Ritchie combined very well yesterday, none of this not passing malarkey which I don't honestly thing was deliberate anyway.
xLiaaamx
He did alright. Needs to be much quicker on the ball before the goal though. Either commit your man or pass it. Don't just do neither.
Sean
He did alright. Needs to be much quicker on the ball before the goal though. Either commit your man or pass it. Don't just do neither. He lost the ball in their half though. Players like him will lose the ball sometimes, it happens. It's not his fault Yedlin can't defend really

Should have been a free kick and if the ref had given the free kick the penalty wouldn't have happened.

Even Messi loses the ball, problem was firstly Schar and especially Yedlin dived in to a tackle when there was no need to. Zaha wasn't clean through on goal and was on the far side of the box. Basic defending not happening was the only reason for the foul.

Guest neesy111
Debatable whether it's a foul, palace player gets his foot on the ball which means pass gets misplaced.
xLiaaamx
He had plenty of time of time to get rid before that though. We were pushed up when he did it.
Guest Howaythetoon
He’s a good player, but not a special player. Those kind of players cost at least double the price, maybe worth bearing in mind. I personally thought he had a good game and has been a huge upgrade. I fear unless we bring in more like him though, expectations will go unmatched. He’s a good player in the way Lejune is rather than Clark. If anyone expects him to pull up trees and be some kind of talisman, I’d wager he’ll be more Perez for us than HBA sadly so don’t build any hopes up. But hey, at least he’s no Joselu... cubaricho
He would do really really well in a squad like Arsenal's where he's not pulling all of the weight.
