Guest chopey
No way this guilt should fall on us, its like when Talksport asked if Newcastle should buy a player or let Ashley use the cash to save jobs on the high street
Guest
No way this guilt should fall on us, its like when Talksport asked if Newcastle should buy a player or let Ashley use the cash to save jobs on the high street Sure I saw someone post on here that when we signed Shearer, the North-East edition of The Sun/Mirror were bigging it up, the rest of the country editions were up in arms about how that money could be spent on hospitals, etc.

Yorkie
"Accountants involved in auditing Mr Ashley’s retail businesses were told in recent weeks that Newcastle was “disappearing from the book”, according to a person with knowledge of the matter, in another sign that the British billionaire is finally moving to offload it." What does this mean?

What does this mean? He's selling the club so it won't be considered one of his assets anymore.

TRon
As far as I'm concerned, if we are going to get taken over, would rather it be Arab buyers over anyone else. British buyers don't have the money, American buyers are looking to make money not invest it, and Chinese buyers are no better than Saudis if we are talking human rights. At least with MBS you know he won't mess about, we'll be going hell for leather to win trophies. Rather us than the Saudis go somewhere else like Leeds. Kanji
Don’t see a Sov wealth fund just merely trying to compete. It’s gotta be aggressive.

Stifler
It wasn’t long ago that they wanted to buy Man Utd. Imagine us getting taking over to win trophies and Man Utd being left to rot.
Yorkie
I bet the KSA branding is the vision 2030 logo or something Given my current state, my allowance for that sort of thing is quite high. Willing to try owt at this point.

Rafalove
I really don’t like the ethics of this, but we don’t have a choice do we? The game we love needs to come up with a way to get fans owning clubs.
Kanji
Every year I go to a conference in LA at end of January something incredibly mad happens that week. Few years back we signed like 10 French lads like MYM and Sissoko. Last year we beat City. This week maybe we get sold?
loki679
I'll miss the pathetic 0-0 draws at home against League One sides the most.
