But silence all round seems to be the order of the day. Its the lack of questioning the legitimacy of it, challenging/finding out why that worries me. Some owner can pretend a takeover is happening numerous times and journalists don't investigate why it never happens. Still gets the benefit of the doubt (either through incompetence or corruption) from most of them when nearly every one of us had doubts the moment we heard it mentioned, without any sources or journalistic credentials. But silence all round seems to be the order of the day. problem is the pattern with many takeovers is the ones that actually go through just happen out of the blue no ones heard anything until its done. Every "takeover bid" we've had has been very public BZG being the worst for this since they were the only ones saying anything and call me cynical but the only reason to shout yes we are trying to buy a premier league club is cheap PR since if you are actually serious about doing it keep quiet until everythings sorted and then you have all the time in the world to get attention. So now as it stands, he doesn’t have to say anything because it only ever lived in our heads through either forums, Twitter, Reddit and then the few press who reported on it without dismissing it out of hand like a lot of them did. It seems like they (BZG) were quoted a price and it never went further than that. Not sure what they got out of it, they’re a total laughing stock now. But was definitely Keith Bishop who put them on the spot by breaking the news through the sun. They needed a talking point to keep the conversation off Rafa and boy did it work.
