Not sure Elliott Anderson is any more technical tbh, I remember describing Anderson as a bulldozer last year. I always thought Anderson's best position was as an attacking central midfielder, and unless I'm mistaken, that's where he's playing for Forest.

I rate Anderson's technical ability very highly.

Who was in for him? Must've missed it

I do believe clubs actively ‘shop’ certain players. And obviously agents do too. If we weren’t going to renew him, it would be in everyone’s best interests to find him a club asap.

again love the bloke and happy that he’s here.  But financially I think we should’ve moved him on.

is it just me or does he seems a bit off lately?

Yeah he's not playing well. A lot of stuff is breaking down when he gets the ball. He's losing it quite often.

Very lucky to escape yet another yellow yesterday and possibly a red depending on who’s reffing. Was low with the studs, at least.

He is becoming a bit of a liability with some of his bull in a china shop antics.

But it is also why I love him.

he was sloppy on the ball yesterday and it’s really frustrating at times in games like that, but we should also note that he made the most tackles on the pitch, the most blocks and the most ball recoveries. Stuff that probably goes unnoticed.

Crazy opinions on here. Integral to the team no matter who we're playing even if he isn't in his super saiyan form. I'd go so far and guess our midfield loses more by taking him out for Willock or Miley than Bruno or Tonali (as long as either Bruno or Tonali stays on that is).

Yup. I have fully accepted Joe and all of his flaws.

The yeoman's work this guy gets through all over the pitch is so easy to overlook.

Now we have Tonali doing such a great job defensively in that deeper spot, we can get away with Joe being loose with things at times, as there is better cover back there.

His wrecking ball presence clearly unsettled teams, and makes them uncomfortable. And so let Joe be Joe.

Was really unlucky not to score yesterday too, I thought.

He's got such a good engine and work rate and ability and willingness to play anywhere for the team.

Think I said this already he stands out as the weak link of the 3 not because he's a bad player more that the other 2 are so good.

I was also disappointed how he seemed to keep hold of the ball too long and gets it taken off him. However at times he's got 2 or 3 players on him which does create space for others even if it doesn't always pay off.

Still worried that shoulder strapping he's carrying something too.

think I want him to play higher up and closer to Isak tbh. It’s too risky passing the ball to him in our own half against a decent out of possession side.

I think both him and Bruno give the ball away too much

Probably a controversial one as I know he's loved, but is he someone we could sell to Saudi for pretty decent money without complaints?

All our other sales / potential sales like Maxi, Miggy, Trippier, Targett etc are pretty small

He turns 29 this summer and is in his prime, appears to have a 'reputation' which seems to partially matter to the Saudis, is capped for Brazil etc. And we bought him for £40m and he is now clearly a better player than we first signed him

In a non PSR world I'd rather keep him, he's a great physical presence, can play a few positions, and can can be used tactically by Howe such as when he's played as a wing back / CB out of possession

I'm just thinking with his age, probably high salary after his last contract extension, could he be a valuable sale to help us. Obviously a downside would be that he'd need replacing and Willock/Longstaff are poor..

One of his worst games for a while. The one he put square across the back line to get intercepted was gash. He’ll be getting an enforced breather soon once he hits 10 yellows (9 now…)

I was trying to be kind, as I love the bloke.

He looked shite in the ground, but his stats are something else. Only won 4/13 duels, didn't make a single tackle, block, clearance, or interception, and was dribbled past three times.

Also deservedly booked yet again, obviously, which leaves him one yellow off a two-game ban.

He's largely lost the plot this season, sadly.

I wouldn't be offloading him at this point,to me he looks to have been about 80% of his capabilities for a good chunk of the season for whatever reasons, and I want to see him full beast with our other two maestros in there
