He's been good. Hopefully he can stay fit - saw he's on 5 yellows as well so that's frustrating.

He can get 5 more before a suspension so plenty of flexibility to cause utter chaos

I think he has been up there as our MOTM the last three games and was my MOTM against Burnley.  Certainly one of the best three players in all of three.

He's also looked a lot better on the ball, I think?  Usual caveat of him losing it in daft areas now and then and 2-3 times failing to play in the winger or forward when it's easier to do so than lose it  I think we almost have to accept that now with him.  The rough with the smooth.

His defensive work has been outstanding and all the more noticeable due to him not playing for a while and then when he was playing.  Him looking a shadow of his former self and playing through injury.  He wins a lot of headers from set pieces, he is our best player back to goal at holding it up and seems to be the only option to bypass a press from the back.

I really hope Howe rests him Saturday.  He's been all action for basically three full games in a row, after just coming back from injury.  We've seen how important he is for us when fit and firing.  We can't afford to have another season of him constantly playing through various injuries or missing time.

Fair play to Howe for keeping him on.  As I thought he'd need to come off and was a walking red card.  But he was one of the main reasons we got back into it.  He dragged us back into it, kicking and screaming.  Literally, in his case.

Thought he was going to spark the referee out after not getting that pen for the dive

When you watch the passage pf play at lower speed he is caught around the thigh area as he is bursting through, when traveling at the speed he was moving then it could have been enough to put him down, or he may have just felt it and threw himself down.  Probably not a penalty but, equally not a yellow card for simulation.  In my opinion.

Aye, might not have been a pen, but it was nowhere near the theoretical threshold for simulation.

And Big Dan Burn.

I know Howe got criticised for keeping Big Joe on because he was important to defend set pieces, and I thought it was a lame excuse at the time. But yesterday he was winning so many important headers all over the pitch.

I think we've missed Big Dan for the same reason. I don't think he's great at attacking headers, but defensively he's massive, whatever his failings might be as a ball playing defender.

Dan Burn is under rated still.

Seemed to be magnetically connected to the ball when it was headed out in our box and he was calmly bringing down and playing the right out ball every time. Those things are so bloody important in winning matches.

Looks back to his best but he was never as bad as people were making out a few months ago, we are just such a different proposition when he is playing. Players must absolutely hate seeing his name in our starting lineup, he will strike fear into them before they even walk onto the pitch.

He's definitely lost a little something in mobility over the last few years. Like I can't imagine him playing wide left anymore like he was doing in 22/23.

However he's got that fire and physicality back that he was lacking for a little while. He's one of those that plays with such passion that he gets every bit out of his ability. Him and Bruno really are the heartbeat of the club since the takeover. + Dan Burn.

I’ll own that I thought he was finished during his run of form pre the last four games. His game is built on physicality and he looked a complete shadow of himself. I still think we have to part ways in the summer but would be amazing for him to leave on a high with a top second half of the season

I thought we needed to move on from his profile but I’m not sure we can.

His profile is perfect, provided you add better passing and touch to it. Not sure who that player is though
