Joelinton

Starting to think a lot of this is down to poor man management.

He was not good enough today and he has had a lot of bad matches this season, but I still think we would see more quality from him if we had a better manager and coaches. Rondon didn't have a strong reputation before he joined last summer, but we had a good manager in Benitez to get the best from him.

I can barely count on one hand the players which have improved under Bruce this season.

Don't see a way out, Bruce has to play him with ASM out and Miggy picking up a knock - and of course the price tag plus pressure from the boss - but its only going to get worse for him if he's not taken out of the team.

His career is basically done for now, can't see us selling him for a loss so loans to Turkey and Russia await.

As I said in the match thread, his confidence is shot (has been for ages) and he needs a spell out of the side. Instead though, Bruce is leaving him in, to be his patsy. Mind, not being good enough is one thing, but the lack of effort today.

coaches help with positioning, making runs etc.

this c*** had 3 decent chances today and f***ed them all.

He has never been a goal scorer, its madness Newcastle paid £40 million for Joelinton to replace the goals lost from Rondon and Perez.

the fat cunt will have had a word in his ear from the fat thumbheed, who will have been told by the FCB that he needs to play. no one is going to admit they were wrong and rafa was right.

Bruce has to take full responsibility for bringing him here.

Aye.

We were very luck that all of our signings just happened to be players Bruce had also been scouting.

Like he said he's not a puppet so Joelinton couldn't have been signed without his say so.

You can't blame Joelinton for the price tag. You have to put the responsibility where it belongs, and that is squarely with the manager and his scouting team. What the fuck were they thinking insisting on spending stupid money on a striker who barely anyone had heard of?

Bruce had no control over the transfer. That miss in the first half when he passed it wide of the post was woeful, time, space, loads of goal to place it into, 12 yards out and you can see it’s missing as soon as he hits it.

We’ve ruined him but it’s also clear that he’s not mentally capable of turning this around. Unfortunately, we’ll still have to play.

Tommasson mk2, thauvin mk2, Cabella mk2,etc. Just another foreign player who can’t cut it in the big league. Like someone said before he’ll end up in turkey or Russia.

each of those players were an exciting signing. we could see that the fees looked to be justified, and there had been other clubs interested. just didnt work out.

not a single person could understand why we were paying £40m for a non-goalscoring striker who'd never played for his country, never won owt and who no one else in the world was interested in.

I have always thought no player up front can ever be worse than Frank Pingel. Certainly Joel offers less than Frank, and at least Frank tried.

Would Joelinton have been here if Rafa stayed? Clearly no as Rafa has already said this.

Bruce was brought in specifically to rubber stamp these deals. He walked out on Shef Wednesday so he could do it.

If he had nowt to do with the deal then he can simply say so, but in fact he has publicly backed it.

bruce needs to do something about this now, whatever you think of joelinton just plodding on the way they have is clearly not going to work and nothing is going to change either

either do something different in training, or drop him and send him away for a couple of weeks to see if he comes back refreshed or something...just do anything, something

The only thing he'll do is blame the striker for missing chances. Brummie said that was his style at Villa. Always the players fault when they had no idea what they were supposed to be doing.
