Guest Howaythetoon
Watched that interview as it come up on a mate’s feed. Class and that’s what it’s all about or should be for young home grown lads and indeed young kids full stop. Saw the goal as well, nice sweet hit strike. Delighted for them and happy to see them continue to prosper. I know people who know the family and they are are a good bunch. Matty looks about 14 bless him. Managed to watch a clip of the Sky Sports pundits talking about it as well and they all seemed genuinely moved by their performance, the moment and their interview. Lovely stuff. Disco
Must've felt like a dream when he got up this morning. Chuffed for him and for Sean on recovering his form.

Newcastle Fan
He did fantastic, during the first half an hour he looked a bit nervous but once he settled in he looked like he's been there all his life, really well taken goal too.
Ikon
I'm Back. I blame Matty! Genuine happiness from a local young lad. What a debut from him

Sho Time
lovely to see how pleased his teamates were for him. that bit where Krafth came over to celebrate with him was lush. Aye it was, although it's a shame he was even on the pitch to be celebrating.

Mr Logic
Worth opening a sweep on which Longstaff will be sold first? (Ashley's a cunt)

Fugazi
Saw them both in Lola's in Tynemouth after his goal against St. Etienne, both came across as proper sound. A credit to North Tyneside.
Pilko
Contract is up at the end of the season. Probably was in line to be the next Cal Roberts as recently as 3 months ago.
xLiaaamx
Contract is up at the end of the season. Probably was in line to be the next Cal Roberts as recently as 3 months ago. Steady on, scoring on his first start for the first team wasn't enough to save Cal so lets not get too overboard yet
James
He’ll get a contract soon. As an aside there was a very odd attack on Juan Mata by Lee Ryder framed against those good Longstaff boys. Apparently they can be found helping their dad tidy up after ice hockey training. You won’t find Mata doing that apparently. Very true as in midweek evenings you will find Mata out on Deansgate in Manchester, helping his dad tidy up his restaurant.

mickthemagpie
Well it's come as a real shock to me to find out Ryder is a dickhead.
samptime29
Mata is one of the most charitable footballers going too Thought that was well known. He always seems sound in interviews too.
Dr.Spaceman
Where's this from Ryder? It IS well known that Mata is one of the good guys.

Kanji
completely needless by Ryder, with 0 context. If the Longstaff brothers played football in London they'd not be able to help their father. Just mention they are humble lads who help their family out, showing a nice example of how still grounded and close they are to their old man. TBG
You just know at no point during the writing of that did he stop and read it back and think, 'You know what, that applies to 80% of Newcastle's squad'. It was get it wrote and move on to interviewing Matty's school dinner nanny on if he had custard with his pudding so he can hit his target of at least three articles on Matty every day this week Absolute thick as Beren's shoes that bloke.
