Good to see him back but I hate it when people use that adage as it's such a lot of unthinking shite.

Yes, it is 100% not true. Especially for professional athletes.

Kanji
Actually think we've missed him badly, he was fucking fantastic back end of last season.
80
Can't help but suspect the occasional rest for Trippier would've come in handy. Plus the option of Trippier going to left back with Targett out.

Yorkie
Would be a huge favour to our summer if he returns to the same level we saw last season. Agree with @Kanji and others that we've missed him, and we could really do without having to buy an understudy to Trippier (assuming Ashby is nowhere near the first team yet). joeyt
He was added after the January window Fellow goalkeeper Mark Gillespie has also been given a surprise recall to the squad along with right-back Emil Krafth. Howe has admitted is would be a surprise to see Krafth play for Newcastle again this season after he picked up an ACL injury at Tranmere Rovers back in August. magvicar
It's great to see him on the road to recovery and, as has been said, hopefully he gets back to the form he was in just before that injury.

Kid Icarus
I still 100% blame that ref for the injury like. They were butchers from the start and the ref totally enabled it.

The ref let a lot of hard and reckless tackles fly during that match, i thought Trippier was going to be a gonner at one point.
timeEd32
Is he really on almost £3M per year? That's painful -- will be some nice savings a year from now.
HawK
He was worth every single penny while Trippier was out injured, just got better with every game and looked a quality right-back by the end of the season.
