Had talk s**** on in car and they were saying we look alright, dangerous on break but taking too many touches before finishing again, not that i'm arsed.

:spit:

?

Sorry man was just laughing at the 'not that i'm arsed' bit after giving a bit of an analysis.

Dubravka should have done better with their goal, just like against Liverpool and the 3 or 4 howlers he made last season too, average goalkeeper living off a great debut.

Yeah, Dubravka is nothing special.  Decent Prem goalkeeper.  Would look out of place at a bigger club.

Didn't really play to get anything meaningful out of this game in the second half so a narrow defeat sounds about right

Defended okay but they were bound to eventually break us down if that was our game plan all game without any sort of counter-attacking threat.

To be fair, a 1-0 defeat at Chelsea the way they've been playing isn't a bad result. We had a decent first half but whatever Bruce said at half time completely ruined it.

It was that one substitution changed everything. Even after half-time we were hanging in there. Carroll coming on for Almiron completely disrupted our flow.

It was his subs IMO. As long as Bruce sticks to the Rafa formation we look toothless but solid. Throwing extra strikers on just throws our shape completely, and that was the backbone of Rafa's blueprint for getting results - given the generally poor quality of the forwards.

Abysmal second half, couldn't help think (wishfully?) that if Rafa had been in charge he'd have changed things correctly.

Nevertheless I thought the ref was a bit of a homer in quite a few potential fouls. (All game). End of the day Lampard's half-time talk trumped whatever the fat blimp came up with.
