Facundo Ferreyra
Any reports yet of Brewcie packing his bags ? ? Looking forward to the media making out that it's a disgrace how the new owners have treated him. Completely ignoring the manner in which he left Sheff United. And the fact that he's a shithouse dinosaur who isn't fit to manage in the Premier League in 2020
Yorkie
Difficult not to get excited when stuff like this pops up. But God we've been burned so many times.
RS
If true it will be a damning indictment of all those alleged itk tossers that it been some random search on companies house that’s lifted the lid. Dentists, local journalists, massive-headed bald narcissists, the lot.

loki679
Daily Mail says £200m up front with £150m paid on top over five years. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-8217141/Newcastle-United-Amanda-Staveley-advanced-talks-350m-takeover.html Why would the Saudis and the Reubens need to pay over 5 years? Just because they get email updates from companies house, it doesn’t mean they are ITK.
Hughesy
I just can't see a world in which this doesn't happen. Admittedly we only have a snapshot of everything that's going on, but everything points to this happening and it being confirmed imminently (albeit I don't know exactly how the PL processes work). You don't grant security and enter into loan agreements for bantz.
Matt
Has this happened on any other club takeover for it not to go through in the end? How about if someone was introduced to the crowd before a game as the new owner, did a few keepy-uppys for good measure and the deal still collapsed? Because that has happened. Maybe Ashley wouldn’t sell up unless he was guaranteed advertising or income for a set period, and therefore Staveley etc obviously wouldn’t pay the whole amount until that period was up? Who knows? Could also be performance related payments or linked to the HMRC investigation. Loads of reasons to withhold some of the purchase price.

Matt
I hope Journos have some actual inside knowledge and aren't just using the £150m in the registered charge as an indication that's how much SHJL is lending Staveley. That's a bit of a jump- there is no certainty those claims will be upheld and they could be worth nothing if dismissed.

Guest
A £10m contract for Edwards' 50.06% stake was signed, subject to an audit of the club's accounts,[6] with a £20 per share offer submitted to the club's other shareholders.[2] The MK Trafford investors comprised Knighton, former Debenhams executive Bob Thornton and Stanley Cohen of the Betterware home shopping company.[7] However, Thornton and Cohen pulled out in mid-September.[8] Knighton sought other backers, with David Murray and Owen Oyston among those approached.[9][10] As the deadline to complete the takeover loomed, Knighton abandoned his bid for control in exchange for a seat on the board. Looks like the audit of club accounts has already taken place in our case?
