Various: N-O has lost the plot over potential end of Mike Ashley's tenure

He’s not going to sit on information about if the deal has passed or been rejected and only remember to tell everyone once people on Twitter ask him.

Basically this   I don't know how he has the patience tbh

How is it utterly ridiculous? These things take months, that's when we're not balls deep into a global pandemic where the football season has had to be stopped. We wouldn't even be aware of it if it wasn't for some folk nosing around Companies House.

I don't know if it's the boredom of lockdown, but people's impatience is what's ridiculous here. I get that it's draining waiting for news, but we'll know one way or another in the coming weeks.

It's the vaccuum that's killing people and causing them to amplify dozens of little fuck-alls into seismically important considerations.  None of us are entitled to know anything that's going on, not sure why people think we are or that they have the first idea how long this could be expected to take :)

Erm, maybe because Staveley told Caulkin to tell the fans that it would be complete in the next few days, back towards the end of April ffs

No she never and Caulkin has never put a timeline on it.

Why are you laughing?

You claimed something that was incorrect, I corrected you.

He loves this shit.

He bought into Mike Ashley's story that Staveley was a tyre kicker (yes...believed Mike Ashely) during the BZG carry on and hasn't let it go, seems to have some issue with her.

He also cant ring Staveley up every half a day because @twatfacenufc has been badgering him on twitter. I cant imagine there is a quicker way to lose a good source of information than pissing them off every half an hour.

There was clear indications that the tests were nearly complete, therefore it's reasonable to assume that they wont be too far off.

Theres no meaningful football being played for the foreseeable future, so if it takes another month, let it.

Well it's not like she's Carole Baskin, or someone trying to get a bit justice for her murdered husband. They're the worst.

It would be nice if Caulkin came on down to reassure us.

It would also be nice if people actually listened to him instead of asking him daily for updates.

He has said it’s a 2 way process. He has said the buyers remain confident. He has said their is serious doubt about the claims in the press would hinder the takeover. He’s a journalist. He won’t have anymore information to give. If something has happened since he last spoke then that means he has no information, either that nothing has happened, or Staveley hasn’t passed any information on to him. He’s not going to sit on information about if the deal has passed or been rejected and only remember to tell everyone once people on Twitter ask him.

Has he said that has he?

OK she put it out there that it "should be complete" in the next few days. Nearly 3 weeks ago.

The person who was incorrect was Staveley.

Why are you so convinced Staveley is acting in bad faith? Literally he only evidence supporting that position is Mike Ashley's "tyre-kicker" comment

I'm not convinced either way, I do feel theres a chance she's acting in bad faith though.

She's been on the scene nearly 3 years, in that time she's repeatedly told Caulkin she's going to be our new owner and all the plans she has for the club. She had a lovely curry with Mike during the first attempt, then he went on holiday and called her a time waster. If as she says she made him offers he'd indicated he'd accept, then surely there would be no way of trusting him again.

Over the last number of years we've seen various claims that the club is being sold, that all then miraculously disappear into thin air. This one seems to be further along granted, but once (10 times) bitten twice shy and all that. I'm just not convinced, and I don't think theres anything wrong with that position.

Can I ask why you are convinced she is genuine?

A £17m deposit. Companies house confirmation of money exchanging hands and documents showing the progress made. A high profile group of companies involved in the consortium. I mean, there's a pretty long list of reasons why she's genuine. In fact, I'm 1000% sure she's genuine and that we're days away from being sold... it's literally up to the PL and then it's done.
