Do emails, text messages, WhatsApp and Facebook messages just delete forever once you've pressed delete? I dont think so.

Files deleted on computers can also be retrieved, especially if forensic IT specialists are involved, whether they will be?‍♂️

Yes, if you do it properly. And give everyone involved a new phone too which is far cheaper than this lawsuit.

Oh come on. I don't think the PL are going to just empty the recycle bin and think that's it, job done. There's a load of ways to delete things permanently off a computer, it's incredibly easy for a £multi-billion organisation facing massive lawsuits. For example, delete what you don't want, then mirror the old drive to a new drive, put the new drive in the PC and put the old one through in industrial shredder of some kind. Or chuck the old one off a boat in the middle of the sea. Easy.

Why? The shredders (physical and electronic) will have been running full pelt for months now. Do you actually think they'll hand over damning evidence rather than just deleting it? Really?

I defer to an IT specialist, I’m sure there’ll be someone on here who can advise how easy it is to retrieve info.

You best get on to Ashley and his lawyers and tell them they're wasting they're time then. Just tell them you know the crack.

I am an IT specialist.

It'll be easy to retrieve data if the PL are idiots and do a half-assed job of deleting stuff. If they take deletion seriously, it'll be impossible.

All it takes is one tiny bit of evidence left and not deleted that doesn't match anything else, i.e an email received but no record of it being sent on the senders computer and the case is more or less lost. Very very risky to remove stuff like that, every single piece has to be deleted from every device from every person involved. Again all agreed by everyone with no record of them talking about doing so.

Also mobile phone companies won't remove the log of texts and calls being made even though you can't see what they contain, but the breadcrumbs are there.

Really can't understand the negativity from some posters it's as if they want this takeover to fail, everything is falling into place ,may take a few more weeks or months but the pressure on masters and Hoffman will become unmanageable and then the new owners will have the keys to the castle, keep the faith.

It's more important for some moaners to be right than admit there's still legs in the takeover. They'll be onboard if it ever goes through, but they'll come back with new accounts rather than admit they were wrong.

You think that'll be worse for them than just handing over all the incriminating stuff? They'll at least try. A lost case is a lost case. You can always hide your reasons for deleting stuff.

"Oh, we had a hardware refresh, everyone's PCs were out of date so we took the opportunity to get new ones and move to a new email platform".

"There was a fire in the server room, so unfortunate".

Whatever. There's countless roads they can go down. Of course they'll all be suspicious as hell and we'll all know they just deleted everything, but nobody will be able to prove anything. Happens all of the time.

Henry Winter made noises about Spurs and Liverpool lobbying heavily against the takeover. I think Rob Draper wrote an article at the time about how the PL we’re quite happy to just keep asking questions without ever making a decision. I think the NUST were aware of Bill Bush leaking negative info to the press about the takeover. I think it’s pretty common knowledge in football circles that certain clubs and Bein lobbied heavily against it. It was meant to be a confidential process, I have every confidence when the request for access to devices arrives panic will ensue.

I'd be interested to know if during the talk around Spurs if Todd Boehly would have been involved namely through Eldridge Industries which have been previosuly mentioned by Keith as trying to do some investments with Saudi Arabia. A quick search indicates interest in Tottenham and Chelsea throughout 2019 - has links to the LA Dodgers, speculating another US based owner mixing in the same sporting circles as some of the current EPL owners prior to Project Big Picture and the ESL coming out it would be a no-brainer investment into the Premier League if you knew in advance of this plan.

I don't think it would be worse, I fully expect them to do exactly what you've said, however I also think they will miss something which won't add up. The PL are incompetent, we've seen that first hand.

Fair enough, and I obviously hope you're right. There's a good chance you are.

Given that the club has launched legal action I’m sure that they will have evidence that’s pretty damning.

Put it this way, if it's as simple as chris makes out and they just delete everything never to be seen again, the club and its lawyers would know they didnt have case from the off and would not have pursued with it.

That's not what has happened though.

It's just Chris being his usual negative self. Strange.

Not believing a takeover will go through = not wanting a takeover to go through, is just pure bollocks.

I want a takeover to happen, I'm just not anywhere near convinced it will happen.

I'm certainly not holding my hopes on that Keith fella or some local journalists who are milking every tit bit for their own gain.

Fwiw, I also don't subscribe to the Luke Edwards view that the takeover definitely won't happen and the Bruce is a good manager.

It's perfectly acceptable to draw the line somewhere in between. A foreign concept to this thread, I know.

Well by all accounts the PL operation isn’t actually that big. Hopefully there IT department is under funded and mistakes are made.

@STM All fine and well, thanks for letting us all know.  Everyone is allowed a different opinion, but you probably didn’t need to add the little snipe at the end though.

Exactly and if O’Donoghue thinks the case would have been won already they must have some good evidence. The club as Keith alluded to have also added bells and whistles to his case. I also think that since the ESL was announced the other 14 clubs could possibly emerge as allies in this yet. Who knows what conversations took place behind closed doors after Bein wrote to every club asking them to object.

Everyone who ever launches a legal case thinks they've got good evidence and a high chance of success.

Some of them lose. There's nothing to suggest that cannot happen to us, yet everyone in here is talking in such certainty about our impending court case victory. It's just bonkers.

I hope we win. We might very well win. But we haven't won, and we might well lose. That's the honest state of play that loads of you are refusing to even acknowledge. This is not a foregone conclusion, no matter how confident any of the parties are.

I find it so strange how threatened some people are with this thread. Everyone is just chatting away all fine, no problems, thinking big and looking forward to the takeover, enjoying reading the tweets and stuff. Then every now and again, someone comes in full of hell, having a go at all in here [emoji38] It’s so fucking odd.

That is contempt of court and is very serious. This isn't a TV show.
