I100% agree with you but does that not apply to all of the top teams? Who replaces Sala, Haaland and look at Arsenal up front at the moment? As I say, I agree with you but a lot of teams go with this high risk strategy.

Some of these clubs are taking too big a risk but at the same time I wonder if fans are a little stuck in the past with big squads, say Yorke, Cole, Sheringham and Solskjær? That depth just doesn't exist anymore.

Shows how the game has changed.

Marmoush replaces haaland and while he’s not got the numbers haaland has he’d walk into the majority of premier league teams outside the top four.

Been impressed by him every time I've seen him. Still wouldn't be surprised if he is another Alvarez though, and at another club in a couple of seasons.

One of our best #9's in my lifetime. Yes he's lost a yard this season, but he was bloody brilliant at his best.

Shame about the injuries as he could (& should) have more appearances and goals for the club.

All the best Callum...

Along with ASM, he was a shining star in a skip full of rotten dog shit under Cabbage Heed, I'll be forever grateful for that.

He stayed one season too long, it's been infuriating watching him this season, but between Ba and Isak he was easily the best forward we've had. I really hope he does well down there.

Big assumption he’s healthy enough to be on the pitch.

He'll score the goal that sends the Mackems down man. 😆

I hope he's able to get a season in without injury and scores a few. He deserves it imo for the servant he's been here in good times and bad. You just know he'll be huge behind the scenes as well so even though his time here is done on the pitch he'll be tough to replace as a person.

One of the best to ever pull on that number 9 to give him his dues. Better than 1 in 2 before this season.

I don't get get the good servant sentiment, they're paid millions. Couldn't give a shite what befalls him after he's gone. Thanks Cal, see ya.

So you have zero emotional attachment to any of the players… ever?

Must be a personal thing but I tend to follow the fortunes of previous stalwarts of the club. I'll always give them a warm reception to thank them for their service when they return.
